So Gaslight are co-headlining Bamboozle in 2011...with Lil Wayne, Motley Crue, Taking Back Sunday, and Wiz Khalifa? Wtf?

The Bamboozle Festival just announced another slew of acts for their 2011 line-up which includes, Lil Wayne, Motley Crue, Taking Back Sunday, The Gaslight Anthem, and The Movelife among others.

I personally think the lineup is sick. Another great opportunity for our boys.

Will they keep the metal/rap/alt separate? I don't feel like going to a show with ICP fans or Little Wayne fans. The thought of breathing the same air as them is nauseating

i hope one of my friends win a battle of the bands to get on this. hopefully with frank and gaslight on this, this means other dates in the area around that time.

That's exactly what I was hoping for, the festival seems like a genre clusterfuck

They probably won't keep rap separate. The way it's set up they have different stages all over the place and it's all mixed up. When I went Demi Lovato played on the same stage as Sum 41 and Taking Back Sunday while Hollywood Undead, Rise Against, The Used and No Doubt were on another, etc.

Gaslight's on the same day as Taking Back Sunday, Alkaline Trio, Thrice, New Found Glory and Frank Turner! Last time I went they had the two headliners play so that you didn't miss the other, so if you want to see both TBS and Gaslight you will be able to. So hopefully that'll be the case again.

Wow. Not to mention stuff like Streetlight, Rx Bandits and Tigers Jaw. The lineup that day is completely stacked. (For anyone interested, tickets for the one dya are $52 plus $13ish in fees (wtf). Not cheap, but if your near-by it would probably be worth it

Never done Bamboozle before. Are there usually sideshows/aftershows?

Genuinely considering this. 13/14 hour drive. It can be done. I'm already excited.

I need more friends in Chicago who are up for roadtripping.

thrice and gaslight in addition to all of the other pretty solid-not actually shit bands on one day is getting to me. my two favorite bands one bill. so tempting.

Sunday is weird. And why not TBS on Sunday? I'm not funny. Anyway, I'm glad the schedule fell this way.

Not sure what you mean about sideshow/aftershow stuff? They have something like 4 or 5 stages so things are going on all day long til the end when it narrows down to the two main stages. Besides that, there's some carnival rides and booths selling all kinds of stuff, also comedians are there too. I have more photos here if you want to get an idea of the layout of the land.

I mean like separate concerts that certain bands may have later in the night. For example, when TGA was doing Lollapalooza in 2009, that night they played across town in a small venue.

We'd likely only do Saturday, so we'd be in town probably Thursday night and Friday, as well as late Saturday night, looking for other shows to go to.

i wish ICP was the same day as Gaslight, that would be absolutely incredible. the gaslight day is the best day though.

Ahhh I might go to this! I'd only be going for Gaslight, Frank Turner, Black Veil Brides, and Alkaline Trio. The others...meh.

Oh, and I wonder what Gaslight will think about Black Veil Brides, if they meet. I know Andy Sixx looks like a total tool, but two of his biggest inspirations are Bruce Springsteen and Matt Skiba, so he's probably a huge fan

Maybe. It's difficult to take a guy like Andy Sixx seriously when he literally wears pounds of make-up along with tight black pants though.
