most films that get that much hype are not made by james cameron. he's good.

My list for the top 10 films of the decade. I'd love to hear your lists as well! I tried to only pick one Pixar movie, to make it more diverse. But here ya go

1) City of God
2) Lost in Translation
3) The Royal Tennenbaums
4) Finding Nemo
5) Pan's Labyrinth
6) LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (only one I had fun watching/not fall asleep in)
7) Howl's Moving Castle
Eternal Sunshine
9) Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2
10) Gladiator

Well I rarely ever go see movies anymore because everything seems so unoriginal. Avatar broke my "wait for DVD" cycle because everyone said it's a must-see-in-theaters type of deal. I couldn't agree more because of the effects, and I love the story line, but there are cliches. It's kinda like The Matrix meets Ferngully, with some obvious implications of the hubris of mankind ("you can't pour anything into a cup that is already full"). I can't complain about the cliches and unoriginality though, these specific ones make for a great story.

As for the effects. kickass, but I don't really get hyped about that kinda stuff. Then again, I only watched the 2D version. I like the movie enough to see it again, so we'll see if my perception changes after the Imax.

Anybody here seen Nowhere Boy yet? I still have yet to see it, but I hear it's fantastic.

I have, it's quite good.

Nowhere Boy is well worth a watch. Its all about the young John Lennon rather than The Beatles era.

loved it too, aaron is such a promising actor.

Of course it's a reference (to the book upon which the film is based). It's right there in the liner notes: "Title Inspiration from the novel of the same name by Tom Robbins."

I saw Battle Los Angeles last week. It was alright I thought. Still yet to see Paul, hopefully I will do soon.

Watched Machete tonight, pretty badass.

Yeah, I saw. I got the song that he wrote with the woman form iTunes. The film was so moving! I loved how the film was produced, really realistic, simple and human.

I watched again the dead poets society today and I am now drowning in tears. I love that movie so much.

Boy was is it a wonderful film.....check it out or youtube the trailer.
