Great! While we're at it, where should I start with The Loved Ones? I was never really into the few songs I heard from them, but I love Dave's album.

I actually need the same advice. Somehow, my only real experience with them was seeing them with Gaslight. They're on the list... yeah, I do have a little text file with bands that I need to check out to see whether or not I want to buy their stuff! I think I've been slacking on TLO because I can already tell they're great. So I have no explanation as to why I haven't got anything yet

Or the Distractions EP if you're not 100% convinced. It has covers of Coma Girl- Joe Strummer & Johnny 99- Springsteen on it, as well as a couple other originals.
Pretty much everything is good. Not a bad song on anything.

@Jukebox Romeo: thank you!
the first album i got from them was Keep Your Heart, and it's the one i prefer (even if Build and Burn is also really good)

All dates with Mikey Erg (The Ergs!, millions of other bands) and Ian Graham (Cheap Girls). It would not be out of the ordinary to see a Brian cameo at the lanes or the cake shop, especially since they have the bamboozle on the 30th.

Oh, I never stopped by to say that the Lanes and Cake Shop shows could not be more perfectly timed. I AM DEAD.
I'll be ending a 10/11 hour car ride by pulling up in the parking lot of Asbury Lanes, and I'll be at the Cake Shop show as well. Unless Brian/TGA has something else planned for either of those days (which would then take precedence), I give Brian no leniency when it comes to making an appearance at these! ha.
I'll pretend I didn't get tears in my eyes when I saw these dates.
