It is an actual variant, which was used as the background image on their Twitter page the last time looked.

i think it's pretty good, the colours work great and the layout it is good

but i don't like some of the actual photos like the one of the car but it probably holds more personal value than artistic value

The difference is indeed small; instead of the photo of the bridge tower, there is a photo of a Bible quote poster.

The reason I prefer the variant is because 1) the darker photo of the poster gives the lower centre of the montage more weight, 2) the angle of the poster differes from that of the lighthouse, unlike the one of the bridge tower, and 3) the Bible quote fits in well with what I gather to be Brian's outlook on life.

I prefer this one because I think the photo of the bridge is kinda ugly...

as far as the cover variant,

i much prefer the first one, with the bridge.

a) i just think it looks better.

b) i dont like the religious ideas with that quote, but that's just because of my own personal experiences.

Would anyone actually know how to implement it as a forum skin if he did a design?? I mean there's no point getting him to go to the hassle, if we can't use it.

Kind of reminds me of the U2 "Achtung Baby" cover, only a little less trippy.

I'll follow it up in a while. I bet there is a lot more work to be done on the artwork (after all, there is a booklet to fill, and I don't know if it is all photographs).

Also, there was no talk of a whole layout, just of an new design for the image at the top. We don't want to look like an official site, do we?
