Europe in November?

Benny said in his Lollapalooza interview, as we have heard somewhere previously, that TGA would come to Europe "for a short thing" in November. Does anyone know any more?

maybe another handful of uk shows? I'm always hoping for an Austia show but I guess this won't happen till spring or summer 2010

What is going on? I am sure Brian said at Leeds or Reading that this was it (bar for the North American fall tour) until the new album. Now I come across this from Benny, which confirms something he and Alex R. have hinted at before:

"After we complete our North American shows, we are looking at another tour through Europe in November. Then in mid-November, we will head back home to New Jersey and have some downtime to relax and then write and record our new record."

He only says 'looking at' really so don't want to get hopes up! I've given up trying to work out when they'll be back, but it does strike me that if they were coming back they would really have announced the tour by now, or would be annoucing it sometime soon?!?!

Also their Myspace say their last US show is 27th October, so I suppose it may be viable for them to swing by Europe for a couple of weeks in November... fingers crossed, here's hoping but not expecting!

Even if they end the tour soon they're still not gonna record until january so doesn't matter either way.

so, might it still be Europe in November? If so, surely we should have heard by now, as TGA don't sell out venues that quick.

had the same problem - kept on hearing about it, and it's already the last week of October so I was wondering what's going on.

(i've been registered here since March and never showed up. Scott introduced me to you guys. My bad!)

I first heard about it when Benny was interviewed by Manno at Lollapalooza, which you already mentioned. He then also mentioned it in a painfully stupid interview the same day (not him, the girl obviously didn't do her research). Type "gaslight interviews" on YouTube and it will pop up. At first it was "Europe in November" then "UK and Italy mid-november" so I thought things were getting more precise, but it seems that they are actually NOT happening.

they have 6 free weeks between the last show and the homecoming one mid-December, and recording won't happen before January. I'm all for rest and playing with the dogs and taking a walk at dusk on the boardwalk, but it's not a question of time.

and Alex - Gaslight sells HELLA fast. and they sell HUGE venues now. So they might be able to pull off a last minute one, but for me not living in the UK, it'd be hard to go without a little notice.

I heard at least one of the US gigs hadn't sold out and the last headline gig in the UK in June didn't sell that fast, but I guess things have changed since then, given not least that there have been very few European headline gigs since then

I'm keeping my hopes up though, and my calender clear, as it may still happen

I asked around but all I could have is a "not gonna happen". I also Twittered the band (this is my new low - ending 2009 with a bang!) but no answer. Maybe if we all Twitter them like mad they'd end up giving a response.

I was at the LDN show on June 6th or something and it was entirely packed. Having gotten injured at my first TGA show (welcome the retard), I had to sit on a stool by the bar, and I didn't really like it. This time I want prime stage spot!!

I asked Brian about possible UK dates when I met him last week before the New York show. Both him and Hollie gave me a most definite 'No, not until next year'.

disappointing, but at least now we know the score. thank you so much!
