| Lyrics for THE OREGON TRAIL
Buying boxes, bubble wrap, and packaging tape
Emptying all the drawers out and throwing away
Coupons expired, ticket ignored
There’s no need to park here anymore
I have whiskey on my breath and I’m stammering
A slurred request for something stronger in my next drink
I don't have the courage to speak
Title page, previous works
Dedicate to spouse and to son
Forward, a prologue, brief epigraph
“You’re going to fail” in Latin
I have whiskey on my breath and I’m stammering
A slurred request for something stronger in my next drink
But I don't have the courage to speak
Crossing the room feels here like crossing rivers
In a video game I played when I was ten
The worst part is right now I can’t remember
One good thing happening
I have whiskey on my breath and I’m stammering
A slurred request for something stronger in my next drink
All the whiskey on my breath and it's ruining
Any chance I’ll get to not embarrass myself
Walk up to you and say hello…

| This new album is very, very good. Two thumbs up. It would get more thumbs if I had more than two. | |

| I miss the folksy aspect of The Riot Before though, so I was left slightly disappointed by the new album, actually. (It might be that everything is disappointing compared to Chamberlain Waits though.) The last song is excellent though. | |

Are you talking about for Rebellion? Because I'm pretty sure all Paper and Plastick albums come with an Mp3 download. Feel free to correct me though.

| The new album is decent. Still slightly disappointing though, after the greatness of Fists Buried In Pockets. Don't get me wrong, it's got some really good songs (The Oregon Trail, Tinnitus and Uncharted Lands), but nothing on here comes close to You Can't Sexy Dance, Words Written Over Coffee, Capillaries - or even Really Good Reasons To Swear. I don't think it's as strong lyrically either.
I'll give it a few more listens though, it might grow on me some more.

| Really, lyrically I thought rebellion was really good maybe even better than Fists buried in pockets | |

| I'd agree, lyrically "Rebellion" is great work. There aren't any tracks that stand out as much as "Words Written Over Coffee" or "Capillaries", but I think that it might still be a stronger album as a whole. Whenever I feel like listening to it, I just hit play, I don't have to skip around at all (although i think "Answers for Change" might be the weakest link, still not a bad song). | |

| See that's how I feel about Fists Buried In Pockets - I never skip any songs on there, even I Have My Books works in the context of that album, what with the way the whole album flows into each other so perfectly.
Maybe this album is suffering because I downloaded it at the same time as American Slang, and next to that, anything would sound sub-par.

| The only song I skip from fists buried in pockets is 5 to 9, good meaning just don't like the song
Rebellion I can listen all the way through with no skips

| I like 5 to 9, but I do prefer the Fists...Out of Sockets version. The last song of Rebellion is growing on me too. Not a huge fan of the 3 opening tracks though | |
