| As I am interested in the age range of TGA fans on this board, which seem to range from the amazing LBAZ to 1960s babies like me (at least), I thought a poll might be useful | |

| I've always been interest in this. I'm 19, and I would put most of the people I've seen at Gaslight shows between the ages of 18 and 35. |

| I was the only one of my age when I went to see TGA! I felt like a right baby! Still made friends though. I guess it doesn't really matter how old you are when you are a fan of a band like TGA that attracts such a wide spectrum of people. | |

Definately. Whenever I've seem them there were a few strange, but harmless, characters- but you get that anywhere I suppose. Judging by the 'other bands' discussion, I don't really think I'm a typical Gaslight fan- but then again I don't think you can categorize a typical Gaslight fan, as the diversity of the influences of different music on the band is reflected in their audiences. Which is good. |

| Yeah I like the fact you can't pigeon hole us or the band, makes it harder for sterotypes to work their magic. However I am veiwed as the 'music snob' at school because I keep coming up with bands no one has heard of! - steady now steady now wrote:

Same here. I'm always getting 'who are they' or 'how do you know about them'! Luckily all of my mates know who the Gaslight Anthem are now! |

| Well done on getting your mates to listen! I've not been so lucky. As much as I love my best mate she doesn't have a very open mind it comes to new music. If it isn't on her ipod don't even bother. She ate her words with TGA though. They came on the music channels the other day and she turned to me and asked me if she could borrow their albums. I almost had a heart attack. She is into the whole big beat, glam rock Deff Leppad/Whitesnake stuff as well as little Funeral for A Friend - guess it comes from her mum and dad's taste. I like some of their stuff but I wouldn't call myself a fan. | |

They don't really have a choice a lot of the time. I just put it on and if they don't like it, it's tough! |

| Age 39 here, but they obviously appeal to a wide range of ages. Read something in AP the other day that described them as "inclusion rock", meaning people of all ages and musical interests usually like them. Good description. | |

| Pits aren't really my thing. I have an extra high chance of being hospitalised than others if I get into one so I would much rather be squished against the barrier. There was one gig where I was at the barrier and I swear for the majority of it my feet didn't touch the floor. | |

| i'm 18 and the friends i've gotten into the band are about the same age.
also like LBAZ, i prefer either being squished at the front or standing and watching from the sides/ back to being in the pit. if i was a bit bigger i might go in....

| I'm 18. And the two other people I know into the band are 17 and 19.
But pretty much everyone I've made listen to them has enjoyed 'em.

| It seems like I am the old man around here at 42. It’s funny to me that people are saying how they got their dad’s into GA when for me it was the other way around. I got my 12 year old son into GA. His very first mosh pit was at the GA show in Milwaukee a few weeks ago. So proud! | |
