| Just got back from the Woodstock show. I love the Bearsville Theatre, really is beautiful. We took with us our 3 year old son tonight for his first ever concert. I'd been here before and new it would be a good place to start him off. Loved every minute of the show and the new songs they played made me very excited to hear the upcoming album. If anyone is on the fence about seeing them, go. Well worth it. Many thanks to whoever was on the soundboard tonight in NY. He personally went up and got my son a set list to take home. We got a picture with Cat who was more than willing to stop for a picture on our way out. All around great night. | |

OMG that's so cute! How did he stay up that late? Our son would never have at that age and it sounded like a great night as well! Would you mind if we posted that photo on the DSS twitter account?

We had some too. But he is older, so he tells us very clearly what he wants to do. haha

| just from watching youtube videos... geez cat's bass and singing is the perfect complement to this more rootsy Brian. she's killing it, and really helps give this project an identity apart from gaslight. brian sounds great too | |

| Great show at Foxwoods. Set was basically the same as last couple nights. A few songs in different order (Jesus in the acoustic part). 2nd to last song was Tin Pan Alley and Brian insinuated that and Blues, Mary will be on a RSD release after they gave them proper recordings | |

| I had a great time tonight. I was a bit skeptical of what it would be like at a place like Foxwoods including the crowd but the positives by far outweighed anything else. First of all the sound the sound the sound!!! I was about seven rows back to the left and it was wonderful. I was just drooling over Brian's vocals all night. The crowd was probably a mix of fans and casino goers who had received the tickets for free but everyone was very respectful during the quiet songs, which made them sound even more awesome. Tin Pan Alley sounded great and I was happy to hear Low Love, I don't remember hearing it in Portland on Thursday. Overall Foxwoods was fine. It felt more like a mall than a casino. | |

| I like how different venues can really offer a new experience. Have to say I'm somewhat in favor of the whole "seats" thing for this music, with a few exceptions (song-wise). The show tonight was very relaxed which was so nice Highlights: -The crowd was respectfully quiet but still enjoying it -Jared and Cat both really added something with their backing vocals (and playing of course) -Songs like Low Love and Honey Magnolia were brought to the next level with the band. -The New new songs range from good to GREAT -A Wonderful Life sounds perfect live -They played LOTS but just the right amount of new songs compared to older -Long Drives: I personally LOVE the new version and I'm usually very stubborn about changing songs I like. -That was some of the best Fallon banter I've heard in a long time. Less than perfect: -I think something was off with Smoke, Red Lights, and Crush. The first two didn't have their usual pep and Crush was missing...something or perhaps I'm imagining things. It just usually seems more intense somehow. -Me and like 4 others were the only ones I could see who stood up for Behold The Hurricane at the end. Ugh Connecticut. This is why I left you. Overall, fantastic show! | |

| Agreed those 3 songs were definitely lacking a little punch, the first 2 I attributed to being earlier in the show and Brian not being fully warmed up yet. I felt he was a bit restrained with Ladykiller as well. Seemed like he was straining on Crush a bit too. | |

True, I think he even said they've been a little nervous/tense and they're finally starting to relax so I bet part of it was that they only got to that place after a few songs in. Crush though was odd.

Can't get that quiet in the old Jerz. People NEED to talk there. I sneaked down to a seat that wasn't mine so I didn't stand in the front section. Plus I've received enough flack for standing at concerts so I roll with whatever the consensus is. Regardless, I sang and probably ruined my recording of it. Progress.

| Foxwoods show was great. I absolutely LOVED the new songs, especially Open All Night and Among Other Foolish Things, but they all seemed pretty great. Hoping some good sound quality recordings come soon because now that I have heard them there's no way I can wait till March to hear em again | |

Regardless, I sang and probably ruined my recording of it. Progress. Haha there were definitely Jersey people there which is why it was even more odd that it was quiet! I snuck over to a seat that wasn't mine (further back, more centered) for the last song and then the people around me stood so I said fuck it. I'm big on the don't stand unless those in front of you stand rule at seated shows but in my opinion all of that goes out the window on the last song unless the person behind me is like handicapped or something else that makes them 100% unable to stand even for 4 minutes. Have you really gotten a lot of shit for standing at concerts? Where? I've never gotten any, although I'm like 5'3" haha.

| I remember seeing Ray Davies in our local leisure centre; me and my sister were about thirty years younger than everyone else there and fed up of sitting down and being civilised. So in the encore break, we went and stood at the stage (no barriers!) and he came back and shook the hands of some of us in the front row. By far the most legendary person I've ever touched! But the sitting but definitely sucked. | |

I believe it is Cory Branan. Thanks, but I don't see Cory Branan listed anywhere for January 19th. I'm making sure because I won't be able to make it until later.

| Pittsburgh was great!
The show was interesting and obviously a lot different from Gaslight. I liked the chemistry between all the band members, and Ian and Alex's bromance is too cute for words. It's hard to judge the new songs because the acoustics at the Altar Bar are terrible, but I liked everything I heard and especially loved Foolish Things and Open All Night. The banter was the funniest, most ridiculous stuff ever and I wish I was married to Brian because I could honestly listen to him ramble 24/7 and not get tired of it.
Only low parts of the set for me were Last Rites and Jesus (Last Rites isn't even a song and Jesus is a dirge) and Long Drives sounded really strange and completely threw me for a loop. At first I thought it was one of the new ones, but then I heard "a kiss that was sent from below, etc." and all of a sudden everyone else caught on at the exact same moment and started singing. It just sounded like a completely different song and I wasn't big on it.
I do kinda wish that this show had been at a newer, better-sounding venue, because as great as the Altar Bar is for getting close and loud, a show like this deserved a wayyy better sound system.
All in all it was a really nice show and I'm glad Brian's having so much fun, but I hope Gaslight doesn't stay gone for TOO long. That said, I still really wanted to punch the guy who was screaming out Gaslight numbers all night, but the band ignored him for the most part and the only time Brian acknowledged him he said, "You have way too deep of a voice to be screaming that loud."
Oh, and during the very last bit of banter Brian was apologizing for some silly joke he'd made and I said, "We love you!" and he said "I love you too!" to me and it was really cute.
We stuck around to chat with Ian and Jared who were both lovely as usual, but it was pretty cold outside so we didn't wait up at the bus for Brian.
But anyway, it was a really good show and I can't wait for Painkillers to come out. I definitely can't wait to hear the new songs again!

| I went to the show in Wilmington, and yeah Long Drives threw me for a loop too. I was nodding along to what I thought might be a new song, and then all the sudden......the kiss from below line and I knew I wasn't really feeling it. Maybe once I actually hear it recorded a few more times it'll grow on me? I always thought the way the song was written was perfect already so why change it. I also thought smoke was switched up a very tinyyyy bit. Not anything that noticeable though. Rosemary is badass imo. One other thing I wanted to ask to the people who have been thus far.......does anyone else dislike this drummer they have? Dude just looks miserable the entire time lol, the guys next to me heard me whisper it to my girl and they were like yeah man he looks like he's at a funeral haha. They might have been pushing it a little lol. He just looked ready to get in and get the hell back out. | |

| I honestly barely even looked at the drummer, but you might be onto something.
Also, I don't know if Smoke was intentionally switched up or if it just sounded different because it was live, but to me it sounded a bit jittery and didn't move the way it does on the record. It was one of the first ones they did at my show so it was probably just them warming up a bit, but yeah, Smoke did sound kind of off.
