| The best band to come out of the early 70s punk scene, acutally of the best bands ever. Joe Strummers lyrics are really really good and his vocals are even better. If i had to pick the clashs best song im going revoultion rock that song is great | |

I love the interview where Brian talks about that. Something about "Mr. Fancypants with your observations." I too love the Clash. Easily one of my favorite bands of all time.

badass, i didnt know that. you didnt know that? hmm... well these are some of the clues: -title: before the clash, he toured as a folk singer by the first name 'woodie' -chorus: '...the sound / of the very last gang in town' refrences 'the last gang in town' which was a song off of Give Em Enough Rope Aside from that, i personally cannot think of an album that disappointed me more than Cut The Crap. I bought it a little more that 2 years ago when i was really into the clash. It is quite possibly the worst album ive ever listened to.

| I heard one song of Cut the Crap, and I've decided not to make myself listen to anymore of it.
It's not like Joe Strummer's songs got shitty and stayed that way though, lots of his post-Clash stuff is great.

I kid, far be it from me to tell you what to like. But I do think "Streetcore" is one of my favorite albums, ever. And their version of "Minstrel Boy" is great.

And their version of "Minstrel Boy" is great. is that the one with the lighters on the cover? i find it funny that Hellcat records signed him just because he was in the clash. if he hadnt been, they would not have even thought of signing him. wow its already been like 5 years since he died. hm.

He went by the name Woody after Woody Gurthie, I think that was his name. And then he changed it to Joe Strummer because he couldn't play any strings on their own, he just strummed it. Also at the start of the song is the introduction of 'Rico' putting on a Clash record and it's the sound from 'Camden Town' which is in London where The Clash rehearsed. I could talk about The Clash all day
