| Hahaha that's rad.
Anyone know if they're adding more dates? It's crazy that they haven't announced any seattle or portland dates yet!

To those of you who have gone to a recent show, what songs should I expect? I've never been to a Gaslight Anthem concert, so I don't know what their set list is like, especially after their new album.

| From Detroit last night: Gaslight went on before The Hold Steady and played about an hour and fifteen (THS got about an hour and a half) of a quickly paced set. Not a lot of chatter in between, and no encore break. Good show, though. The new stuff is great. Brian had a funny bit before "Here's Looking." He got the crowd pumped up for The Hold Steady, then went into the song.
"Are the Tigers gonna win this year!?! *crowd goes nuts* "Are The Hold Steady coming on stage next!?!" *crowd goes nuts again* "Alright, here's a slow song."
1. American Slang 2. Casanova, Baby! 3. Old White Lincoln 4. Boxer 5. Even Cowgirls Get the Blues 6. Bring It On 7. Stay Lucky 8. The Spirit of Jazz 9. Angry Johnny and the Radio 10. The Queen of Lower Chelsea 11. The '59 Sound 12. The Diamond Church Street Choir 13. Old Haunts 14. Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts 15. Great Expectations 16. Señor and the Queen 17. Boomboxes and Dictionaries 18. Here's Looking at You, Kid 19. The Backseat

either way solid fucking set by the gaslight That would be The Menzingers from Philly/Scranton, PA. Good dudes, great music. Check out their latest, "Chamberlain Waits" and the EP before that "Hold On, Dodge." Both are great. I like the EP more though. In other news: They're playing Angry Johnny in the States! Hell yeah! I can't wait for next Saturday.

| the set was awesome, and the fillmore in detroit was way better than i ever expected! thanks for posting the setlist, i was trying to keep track, but got lost somewhere. some live nation guy got on me for taking video, but i snuck some anyway here and there. brian also came on stage and sang a song with the hold steady. that was pretty tight. THS blew me away; i had no idea they were so good live. i'm going to gaslight's headline show here in chicago, too. can't wait! but the 10 hours on the road the past two days to detroit and back was well worth it. | |

| the st. louis (sauget, il) show had a similar setlist, except no Red in the Morning, Film Noir, or Boomboxes and Dictionaries.
i know Casanova, Baby was played, but can't think of any others that weren't played in Kansas City.
anyone have the actual setlist from that show? |

Tell me about it. And it's a song I'd reckon Brian would absolutely nail. I'd kill for footage of it. Apaprently LiveNation were real strict on recordings though.

| Before the show Benny us (me and some other fans waiting for doors) that they'd be playing Red In The Morning cuz they'd been practicing it for a few days but they were still nervous if they could pull it off, something about when they recorded it the lyrics were kinda spur of the moment. Right before they played it Brian said he was pretty sure he'd mess it up but they absolutely nailed it and when they finished the looks on all their faces was sweet, like they couldn't believe they pulled it off. I wish I could've gotten video of it because I had the best view but security was really strict, I took out my phone once to attempt to take a picture and the security guard glared at me till I put it away.
So glad I picked this show to fly to, venue was amazing and the crowd was awesome. Hopefully Tempe is even half as fun with it being insanely hot there.
