HEY SHANNON! Did I tell you my family went to Hawaii in December and they didn't take me? ...it's okay tho, because I went to Virginia instead.
Oh, and I'm usually okay with shoes that I have to tie. LOL! I just got a little crazy trying to tie my shoe. You know, I think I remember something about Hawaii...and a whole lot about Virginia. I'm sure you'll make it to Hawaii at some point.
Now I have to worry about you getting all crazy tying your shoes, haha! Aw, I'm glad you remember that. At some point, yeah. My sister said maybe this December... that is if all my Christmas present money doesn't end up going to Gaslight related things again. haha
You might have to worry. lol But, I'm hoping my common sense does improve. I think I have a good shot tho.
Yeah...I'll never forget.
That would be so cool of you get to go to Hawaii in December. At least you have time to save the money, even if you buy a bunch of Gaslight stuff too.
No injuries or illnesses for either one of us in 2013, remember? Ah, that's right. We both will have to be extra careful this year.

Haha, that really would be awesome. Care to make a donation to the Shanrad fund some can get the daycare center started? Yup! No point in wasting time on something that isn't making you happy.
Haha, I'll send you my change jar! My change jar is currently empty, so you're doing better than me! Who knows what the future will hold though. A Shanrad daycare center would be pretty cool! I second this. A Shanrad daycare center would be pretty cool. We can start it on DSS here and everyone can bring their kids here:
Billy Bob: "Hey! Freddy just pushed me."
Freddy: "NO I DIDN'T."
Billy Bob: *crying*
Shannon: "Freddy, knock it off. Apologize right now!"
Freddy: "Okay, I'm sorry Billy Bob."
Konrad: *goes to cheer up poor little Billy Bob*
LOL! I knew I'd have to be the disciplinarian! Haha! But, then I go yell at a couple other kids who are goofing off.
Well, I have to get going here too. Gotta help with dinner. It's been a blast everyone.
Sanam, stay warm man.
Okay, then I can be goofy and distract them, and they'll start behaving better. We make a good team. Have fun making dinner and I'll talk to you in a couple of hours.

| Holy shit, I COMPLETELY forgot about DSS. Got totally addicted to a skiing forum, haven't poked my nose round here in a while.
First thing I saw was JimmyB moaning about something, so things can't have changed that much.

| Today seems a good day for a record store trip. Think I'm taking in a piece of the collection to trade. Feels wrong. But I really don't need two copies. | |

I've been thinking about selling my entire collection recently but I just can't bring myself to do it. It'd feel like a part of me is missing or something. That said I barely listen to the records anymore and it's a pretty expensive habit to keep at my age, especially when I could be using the money to travel and stuff.

I went thrift store record shopping yesterday and found some awesome stuff for a buck each. The first two Psychedelic Furs albums and The Smiths The Queen is Dead. I think I'll go to my local record shop today to look for some Sam Cooke and Exile by Rolling Stones.

Given the size of mine, ~100 records, I've spent a few grand I'm sure. Easily. I blame it on the fact that when I first jumped from CDs to wax, I was big into doom/"stoner" metal. $30 import records plus shipping. Shit going OOP in a matter of days and jumping up a hundred bucks in a night. I don't think I could ever give it up though. Sometimes I just like sitting in front of the platter and getting lost in a gatefold. - A_Regular wrote:

Yeah, I haven't done that in awhile, but I need to. Nashville dumps way too much country on the shelves though. Still, sometimes I love just crate digging at thrift shops. The actual record store stop went pretty well actually. Snagged two copies of Sleep's Dopesmoker reprint. One on the foil gatefold print. Store usually caters to an indie crowd, but carries some of everything. Always get the pick of the litter on metal. Another shop just got a TON of two-tone ska and some Augustus Pablo reprints in earlier today too. Definitely going to have to scoop some of those. And I really need to branch out and start digging around for some good blues records.

I ought to one of these days.
