| I was sure there was a thread like this already, couldn't find it in the search though.
Anywho,
'Joey', off of Elsie is my favorite cover Brian and co. have done so far. At first I didn't even like it, but it really is incredible, fits so well on Elsie.
Gaslight and the Crowes just do covers so well.
I'm not big on some of the acoustic ones Brian has done by himself, but they seem more for fun as opposed to being planned for release.

I've actually never heard the original, but I love the Crowes version. Perfect ending to Elsie!

| 9 crimes - the original's by damien rice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqwDDu8zCEA it's a musical/lyrical masterpiece -but it's only brian covering, so for the whole band this would be: changing of the guards - they did an awsomeawsome job here house of the rising sun - interesting version, i really like the grungy sound of this old-time-favorite baba o'riley - way better than the original | |

Easily this one! and then SOLAT...Loved that song as a huge PJ fan, and now my favorite band plays it, arguably better.

| Songs for Teenagers...I'm not really a big fan of most of the full band covers. At least if we're talking properly recorded ones. Otherwise I'll throw in Trusty Chords as well. | |

| Songs for Teenagers or House of the Rising Sun.
The former because its an amazing song to begin with, and Brian really makes it is now. The later because its also an amazing song to begin with and its probably Brian's best vocal performance to date.
