I can't find a happy medium, guys. Last night I slept too much and now I'm wired instead of being exhausted like I was yesterday. Where is the middle ground?!

There should be like an anti-coffee for when you're like that.

I agree! I need uppers and downers without actually having to take drugs, haha. I slept for like, six hours last night and I shouldn't have. After getting so little sleep for a few days, that felt like I slept for 12 hours or something. It makes no sense, I know, but now I have too much energy and it's driving me a little crazy. It was great when the kids were up, but now that they're sleeping, I have nothing to do to keep me busy!

6 hours is a normal amount of sleep! What you're feeling is what it's like to feel normal. You should get that much sleep every night and you'd be constantly buzzing.

Haha, my brain couldn't take buzzing like this all the time! My thoughts tend to race anyway, but today I feel like the Energizer Bunny or something. I'm thinking of a hundred things at once and it's getting on my nerves. The running around kind of energy is great though. Yesterday I just wanted to crawl into a cave and hibernate.

I know six hours is on the lesser side of normal, but for me that's a lot. My new pattern seems to be sleeping 2.5-4 hours for nights on end, then sleeping for 6-7 hours once, then it repeats. This can't be good, but somehow I still manage to function!

I'd get so much done if I was constantly like that. I really don't know how you manage to survive at all on 2.5hrs sleep, I'd definitely be calling in sick and sleeping all through the day.

When I'm in the right frame of mind, I can get a lot done, especially with writing. I have done some of my best writing in the middle of the night while the rest of my world sleeps. I can get through the day without much of a problem as long as I get two hours of sleep, but when it's less than that or if I don't sleep at all, I have to constantly move or I'll crash and burn. That's not a problem with my job because I'm always so busy when the girls are awake, but then when I go home I turn into a zombie. My sleeping has been royally screwed up since high school though, so I'm used to it. It was never good, but that's when it went really downhill.

I made $40 today and heard 45 on a major radio station!
