Gaslight Anthem Kidzbop

If the minds at Kidzbop decided to do an all-Gaslight Anthem CD, which songs would you want to hear?

I love when Kidzbop does very adult songs - like Uncle Kracker's "Follow Me." Kidzbop 22 apparently has a cover of Call Me Maybe and Somebody That I Used to Know!

So what's the most inappropriate Gaslight song to do? Navasink Banks? 59 Sound? American Slang?

haha, this is great. I think with kids singing, you could make 59 sound, sound really cheesy. i'm gonna think about this for a bit.

Haha, how about Desire? That's gotta be the most inappropriate Gaslight song for kids to sing. This is hilarious!

Can you imagine? I have been listening to Handwritten in the car with the kids I nanny for, and I skip Desire because I don't want them going around singing it! I love that song so much, but it would just be wrong to hear a five year old belt it out, haha.

I think Mulholland Drive is the most inappropriate just for the first verse haha. Can you imagine a 8 year old singing "In the deep dark parking lot pressed up against my car"

haha I thought about that too with Mulholland. I'm cracking up so bad just thinking about kids singing TGA songs.

I actually find the idea of a bunch of kids singing Too Much Blood to be HILARIOUS.

I agree, the Elsie potential is off the charts. The Elsie stuff might sound vicious. Gaslight stuff might just sound weird or anachronistic coming from kids.

I'm reading that verse now and seeing it in a different light. Like some creeper on the street came up to a couple kids and this was the conversation *shudder*

Well, the song IS about the subject running around with someone else. Though I love the idea of the singer being a creepy kid-stalker!
