She's very pretty, she has a very nice natural look about her. If you go to their shows she is at them all. She's always standing on the sidelines of the stage. She's also in their video- the part of the video where he says, "....I'm sorry I couldn't go........" that's her. Black hair and sunglasses.

| I have great emotional attatchments to Sink or Swim. The first, second, and third listens to The 59 Sound were slightly disappointing tbh (Sink or Swim seemed more varied to me), but I grew into it. I love both albums. They're both brimming with lyrical genius (I do not think I have seen so much genuine lyrical genius in a long time)
also, if peeing your pants is cool, consider me miles davis.

| man i got so much love for this album. i still remember how insanely impressed i was the first time i heard this album. FINALLY got a chance to pick it up yesterday. my store had 2 copies left and if i hadn't been buying other cds, i would've both both instead of my one. this band deserves it nearly tenfold compared to other bands that litter the scene with dry, uninspired crap. | |

didn't Brian already tell us what that means? that whole image of Elvis coming on stage in '59, combined with the whole feeling and mood of that era and its music, and Brian building a '59 Fender amp?

- Or the '59 Sound is:
The album comes out in August, what exactly is The ’59 Sound
BF: That’s another one of those secrets. Those are the secrets of rock 'n' roll. You don’t ask Elvis to see his blue suede shows, ya know? You don’t ask Bruce where Thunder Road is. It’s like, whatever a better time is for you. Whatever reminds you of a better time. I look at 1959 like rock 'n' roll was just coming around and it was a simpler time, I think. There were issues back then too, but there’s always issues.

Brian is one esoteric fellow. - liveit wrote:
- There was a recent interview in Thrasher Magazine from when TGA played in Brooklyn, that show was a bit ago- awesome show- anyway- Brain gave a little bit more as to what The '59 Sound means to him....““That title came from the idea that we were going for the youthful sound of soul music. I have this vision of 1959 where Elvis is playing, and although there were problems in the country at the time, there was this youthful excitement in the music he was playing that I don’t think exists right now.”
and from Rolling Stone (http://www.rollingstone.com/blogs/breaking/2008/09/breaking-gas-light-anthem.php): - Quote :
- The band is blue collar at its core, with Fallon even developing a hobby of building homemade amplifiers — The '59 Sound refers to one of Fallon's custom jobs.
i'm not trying to prove you wrong or anything, just i'm pretty sure this is what he's talking about. but go ahead and ask them, see what they say. maybe you're right too, and he just hasn't told anyone about it

| 'Youthful excitement' these days is those crazy mobs over the likes of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers and it isn't even over their music but their looks! I really couldn't care less if a band could crack mirrors as long they churn out good songs it really doesn't matter. | |

I thought this was where it came from but I'd be interested to see if you could get a certain, direct answer from any of the guys. |
