I just spent the last hour rewriting sad poems I wrote during my last bout with depression and now I can't sleep. Why did I choose to do this so late at night? to myself.

Jimmy, I'm sure your open mic performance wasn't nearly as bad as you think it was. We're all our own worse critics most of the time.

I'm alright. I was actually copying them for psycho cousin. She's really depressed right now and only has me to talk to, so I thought I'd work up the courage to share some of my poetry with her. I think it might do her some good to know that I can relate to how to she feels. What she doesn't know is that she is the main source of my depression! But really, I'm okay tonight. One more sad song and then it's back to Here Comes My Man.

Ahahahaha, drunk Shannon will definitely make an appearance tomorrow night! I am already so stressed out just thinking about tomorrow, so yeah...it may be a little interesting!

P.S. - This does not mean you need to hold an intervention for me, Andrew!

i would, but i have late jobs, won't be home til probably 7ish, which is 10ish your time, you might be about to quit when i'm about to start drinking!

I kinda hate that drinking is what works, but whatever, I won't be stressed out or care about anything, and I need that!!!

Bummer for late jobs! But I guarantee you I'll still be feeling great at 10:00! Last week I was drunk/tipsy from 6:00 until I finally crashed at 1:30 a.m. It just kept going and then I slept for five straight hours which NEVER happens and woke up feeling great. I'm hoping for a repeat tomorrow!

Yep, I didn't even drink this week when I was off of work. On one particularly stressful day I did stare at the half empty bottle of rum for a while and contemplate drinking just because I could, but it would have been too easy. I never take the easy road in life, why start now? But yeah, I'm totally fine.

Shannon, your drinking has affected me in the following ways:

i feel happy that you are able to relax.

i feel amused by your drunken messages/tweets.

i think if you continue down this path, you will only get more relaxed and i will only get more amused.

as your DSS friend, i hope you know that i say this out of concern.

will you get help tonight & agree to let me drink with you?
