This is why I love Gaslight so much. I'm cleaning my house and listening to my favorite songs, and I had an epiphany while listening to The Spirit of Jazz. These lyrics describe me perfectly:

I always think I can fix everybody's problems, like it's my responsibility to make everything better. It doesn't even matter what's wrong, I always feel that I have to repair them, to bandage their wounds. And I can't! Not all the time. Logically I knew this, but as I was listening to the song, it really sunk in. Gaslight is going to save my sanity...once again.

But I'm still "a cannonball to a house on fire". That will never change!

Going to see Prometheus tonight. Anyone seen it?

Haha, I'll bet! I was so in and out of napping last night due to heat exhaustion -- it was about 100 degrees yesterday and I spent all of Thursday out in the 95 degree heat.

Ouch, that's warm Couldn't even begin to think how uncomfortable that feels.

Although I think it certainly got heated on Twitter as well haha

Yeeep. I hate the valley -- it's only going to get worse since it's just the beginning of June. Can't wait to get back to the Bay Area.

I find it hard enough to sleep and function when it gets warm here, but you have it twice as warm...just...ouch.

Where is everybody?! I spent the last five hours with my psycho cousin and was expecting some hilarious Dimestore Sinners posts! And I would probably laugh hysterically because I have had a couple of drinks and right now everything is either hilarious or horribly sad. I'm not drunk though...just...hmm. Relaxed? No, that's not it. Light headed? Not quite. A little floopy? Yeah, that sounds about right!

IT'S TOO QUIET HERE SO I WILL JUST YELL...AT MYSELF APPARENTLY.

My night involves figuring out what to watch on TV. I was going to watch "Drive" but really the plot is of no interest to me. May re-watch the Lucero documentary with the commentary on. IT'S A ROCK N' ROLL LIFE FOR ME!

Your night sounds nice and quiet, Lorraine! My afternoon/evening was insane, and now I'm just watching Failure to Launch and decompressing. I also watched How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days today. Apparently this is my Matthew McConaughey day. I am not complaining.

Nothing wrong with that. And... He was the first to make me realize I had a Southern accent fetish. :O

Haha, that's funny! Normally I hate Southern accents. HATE THEM! But there are a couple that I don't mind at all. His is one of them. I think it's because he also has that CA surfer dude thing going on.

Failure to Launch is over and now I'm watching Friends. Love it!

God damn, I have to do a 10 minute presentation for my women studies class thats due in a few days and I haven't started. All nighters here I go...
