I spent New Year's there a few years back and it was great fun. Did all the touristy things apart from going in the castle because I was a student and it cost money but I've wanted to go back since.

I'd love to go to Latvia someday. My grandma came over from there when she was a little girl, during WW2, and I've heard so much about it from her and the rest of that side of my family, I feel like it's something I have to do in my lifetime.

i can see what you mean. i don't have a passport, but that's cause i've never had a need to! and i'm too fucking broke to go anywhere, even if i wanted to, so i've just never gone to the trouble to get one. although i believe nowadays you have to have a passport to go to Mexico and Canada.

i think i'd be afraid to go to Germany, where my family's from-- everyone sounds so angry when they speak German!

I don't have a passport either. I need to get around to getting one...as well as an AAA membership.

the only reason i still live here is cause i don't know what the fuck i'm doing with my life. once i get that sorted, and either figure out a school to go to, or get a decent job, i am OUT OF HERE.

i don't want to end up like my mom, she always wanted to move away, but she went to college, then met my dad, got married , had kids, got divorced...and couldn't leave.

i honestly don't think i will survive this summer. it's only April and it's over 100 degrees save me

I definitely agree with you here. I know so many people here that really DO NOT want to go anywhere outside of the US and it's so weird to me, because all I want to do is go explore new places and cities, and see as much as I can. It's seems like a waste to just stay in one place your whole life. There's so much to see!

seriously, "barely sunny" sounds perfect. i love it when it's overcast and stormy out. it makes me happy in the way that most people feel happy when it's sunny.
