| I'm going to the Koko show alone but hoping I may bump into someone from here! I've only been to one other gig alone, which was Brand New in Southampton earlier this year. It's always good when you get someone into Gaslight too, & that your brother drove you to see them Wow that's a lot! I know that after Koko, I'm going to have to see them at every possible opportunity. I'm debating Reading festival as they're playing there in August, I've just got to figure out how poor I'll end up aha. & hopefully you'll get to see them soon![justify] | |

| haha. i'm sure you can bump into someone from here if you want to! Ilaria, Mike, Gordon, Christophe, Holland, i figure they are all going and are all nice people! you are lucky, there will be so many DSS people there! and not to sound like a kiss ass, but i swear, Gaslight has the nicest fans. i don't think i've ever seen Brand New live, was it worth going to alone?? and as far as festivals, i dunno. those are always debatable! i'm sure i'll see Gaslight soon enough, i'm just trying to save up the $ to see them the most times possible! | |

| I have to agree, I don't meet many Gaslight fans but I speak to a fair few on the internet and everyone is so lovely! It was definitely worth going alone - they were incredible I'd happily go and see them again on my own. I did have a few drinks to make myself less nervous haha (why I was nervous I do not know..) Yeah, I've never been to a festival, kinda waiting for a lineup that really wow's me! So far I've always found them alright. Good plan! | |

Does this mean that you're too drunk to see the screen correctly, so you have to keep one eye shut in order to type correctly? .... ........ .... Nope, I've never been there... |

I think its worth it and will pay that much if it comes down to it but are gigs really that expensive in N.Ireland? The face value for Koko gig is £17 and I rarely pay more than £20 unless its a big arena/stadium gig. - kirstyt wrote:

I'm also heading to London alone - once you get over the initial weirdness, its way better! Enjoy being your own master, talk to who you want, get as close as you want, be as wild or as reserved as you want, all without worrying whether you're embarrassing a friend or stopping them having a good time! |

Yeah, I really enjoyed seeing Brand New by myself actually! It's better than dragging someone along who doesn't really want to be there! It's just a bit scarier as it's London as opposed to Southampton, & I knew someone there who walked me to the venue and came and met me after. But still, super excited

| I'm going alone too. Been to lots of gigs in Manchester/Liverpool on my own but London will be interesting. Should all be fine though.

| You'll all be grand, I went to NYC on my own for Neil Young, don't worry, just look on it as an adventure. Been to loads of gigs up and down the UK as well on my own, as well as some in Europe. Consider it a case of doing things under your rules and seeing things YOU want to see. | |

But still, super excited Trust me, its easier in London where you know public transport actually runs after the gig! |

I've slept round in London, and I'm still here and not posting from some strange Vietnamese sex prison.
