| I remember recently reading or seeing an interview with brian where he was talking about actually writting songs down for the first time. everything was hand written. i couldnt imagine any other way of keeping track or remembering them, but whatever. maybe he had some other method. that said, the album name makes sense. | |

| Wow. There's some pretty heated comments about this. I agree that you can't judge the album solely on the title, but I think it's classic. Kind of goes with their throwback to the classic rock era. | |

| Wonder what it refers to? I know in a recent article he made strong references to writing the songs for the new album on notepads but i maybe reading too much into that. I think its alright to be fair and like most of you guys say, its only a title. | |

| Well, actually, now that I think about this. They Could have named it:
The Gaslight Anthem IV, or "The Fourth Album" or "Number 4" ....
ya know? Like Led Zeppelin IV? (they could have done the same with SOS, T59S and AS)
Just saying.... At least they were somewhat creative! | |

| Don't know if this is just me but I think the album name and the artwork are quite important. A good name will stick in the mind. | |
