Hello!
I want to ask about the song called "We're Getting A Divorce, You Keep The Diner". In its beginning we can hear a sample sounds like this: "Ready or not here they come. It's zombie time!". So please tell me from what film this sample was taken?
And let's analyze this song! How do you understand it?

ok, my quick research has shown that it comes from a movie that I love... Vampire Hunter D! although, it may have only been in the remake and not the original.

Oh what did I do with my old VHS Tapes of Japanimation???

for that matter, even if I found it, where would I find a VCR?

I'm sorry for the font color it's my fault, or more exactly my browser's one Smile I use Apple's "Safari" and it open some sites not correctly. So I write this post in MS's "IE" Smile
...but this all doesn't matter!

Umm... As far as I understand, "Vampire Hunter D" is the aim to check from where "zombie time" sample is. Check this link, the last line in "Description". I think that this phrase isn't very original to be used exactly in this film, but... Oh, I don't know until I haven't "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust".

Haha, and I have VCR in my room Smile Such a useless thing. The last time when I turned it on was... mmm... six-seven years ago or so Smile

I do think the line is original enough that it is only from Vampire Hunter D (2000)... here is the quotes page from IMDB:

That one guitar part in the bridge sounds like "Tuesday's Gone" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

It was actually meant to be called We're Getting A Divorce, You Keep The Dinner. But apparently the guy doing it was either drunk or hopeless and it came out as 'diner'

Yes, this has been covered, but the song you are referring to is "We're Getting a Divorce, You Keep the Diner" not "Red At Night"

my bad still kinda new to the band and I couldn't remember which one it was!

Thanks for the info, I for sure thought it was Bruce Campell from either Army of Darkness or the Evil Dead. Thanks again!

i personally think the lyrics continue the small theme created with the sound bite intro about the zombies. I think to deeply about these things and its to late for a propper response but its there. i promise, i think

apparently they don't play this song live anymore. I spoke to brian for a bit when they were here in orlando, he said that they wanted to pick 1 show, play it one last time, and then be done with it. i thought it was kinda weird since this is the song they closed with the first 2 times i saw them. they must have their reasons though, they probably just got tired of it. also, i love the backseat as their new closing song.

you're pretty lucky, i really like that song. they've only closed with it 2/6 times i've seen them. lately it's been the backseat, not complaining though, i like that a lot too.

Scott you are wrong, they ended with Say I Won't (Recognise) at Berlin!
I've only seen them finish with Divorce once and that was London

i think the reason they don't play this anymore is that they're moving away from punk. it's pretty obvious to see the differences between their full lengths, and on the live show just posted on here, i noticed that brian was doing all he could to avoid playing power chords, even on SoS songs, which were almost entirely power chords.
