Yeah, it's nothing new, I'm used to handling everything and being the one to run the show with the kids, but it's rough when it's every night plus a Saturday! My bosses are going to a ball that night, so enter Shannon to raise the children. We are going to watch Alice in Wonderland (the Disney cartoon) and order pizza. It'll be fun.

Yep, I can make any day fun. I know those kids like the back of my hand, so being with them is like being home. They are my family. I'll have my six year anniversary with them in exactly one month.

Man, I hate being an only child. Compared to some of the story that you guys told, being an only child sucks. Yeah I am watching the voice.

For all of the tormenting my sister and I did to each other, I think it's safe to say that we're both glad we had each other growing up, but mainly now. I just wish we were a little more like each other. She needs my confidence and I need her mellowness. Is that even a word?

Anyway, on to The Voice. Did you see the guy who sang Free Fallin'? I loved him!

Jimmy, would it make you feel better if some of us came to PA and beat up on you, got you into trouble, stole your stuff, and yelled at you? That's what having a sibling is like a lot of the time when you're growing up.

I thought the girl who sang Rumour Has It and the guy who sang Folsom Prison Blues were both excellent. My favorite was the Free Fallin' guy though. He sounded so cool, did his own unique version, and they still didn't turn their freakin' chairs around! I was mad. I thought either Blake or Adam should have picked him. Who were the ones who stood out to you?

Hey Cody! Did you have a nice birthday, despite the 60 on the math quiz and the trip to the doctor?

My birthday was great! I'm officially 21 now. and I don't even get drunk anymore :p lol

You want to hear something weird? I have never been drunk! I'll have a drink or two every now and then, but I won't drink enough to get drunk. I'm too much of a control freak to lose my ability to think and act rationally. I'm crazy enough without tons of alcohol in my system!

What did you do to celebrate?

went out to eat with my family. Tonight I plan on drinking a travel size bottle of Jack Daniels. It's about a shot. so not anything really. just for old time sake. to remember friends who have passed and days that have not. but That's all. Wed I'm going out with my gf and another couple to tacomac (a restaurant with like 300 something beers) and I'll have a beer. then that will end my birthday extravaganza

Sounds like a good way to celebrate. I like what you said about friends who have passed and days that have not. It makes me think of Boomboxes and Dictionaries.

On a different note, I like the way you keep changing your signature. Are you still planning on writing even after you go to seminary? You have a really unique voice in your poetry.

I plan on writing until it stops. Whenever that is, that's when i'll stop. But I love writing. Also I plan on periodically changing my sig lol

That's a good plan. Hopefully your ability to write will never go away. I kind of worry about that at times. What if I wake up tomorrow and I've lost it? It's such a huge part of who I am and it saves my sanity more than anything else, and I view it as a very unique gift from God.

Ditto! I've gone months without writing and its tough. but it's a gift from God, He gives and He takes with His will. His will is good.

I couldn't have said it better. It's a total blessing and this conversation has really inspired me to work on my novel tomorrow after I take the kids to school! I'm going to go make a few notes and then try to get some sleep. 5:00 a.m. comes too quickly!
