I always thought Chuck Ragan was singing "Find that human river shore." While it made no sense, I still sang it that way. Today I find out it's Yuba River, a river in Northern California. Oh well. At least it's not a disgusting human river, whatever that is.

haha. yeah, human river sounds pretty gross! i know what you mean, though, i am terrible at hearing lyrics correctly, and once i learn them a certain way, that's how i always sing them!

for me, it's more about the music and the way the song makes me feel than the lyrics. not that they don't play a part, but i feel like music is music. it's sound. that's the part that gets me, more than anything. the lyrics are just a bonus!

haha yeah there are plenty of bands i never thought i would listen to when i was in high school and the punk scene. bands like dashboard confessional and the format and "ocean avenue" by yellowcard. we used to say "eeeemmooooo" haha oh man. high school. but some shit is just fun to sing along with!
