| Absolutely. Posting just for the sake of posting or to up your count is not allowed. But with all of the conversations and Q & A threads, it's easy for the numbers to creep up. | |

I'm on a ten minute break from class, and I'm using it to walk over to the library to tell you something.
Please, do raise those darling little kids to not cough in their hands. It's disgusting. Always use the elbow to cover up a cough! Gosh darn it! I need to go back to class now, byebye. You are so right! I call it the vampire cough because it looks like Dracula hiding his face in his cape. I heard it called that somewhere and the kids like it, so I keep saying it. It's so gross when people cough all over their hands and then touch stuff. I'm too much of a germaphobe to be around people like that! I'm glad I'm not the only one! Yeah seriously. There's this woman in class who keeps doing it all the time and she's an opera singer for christ's sake. She if anybody should know the importance of not spreading germs.

I see people do it all the time, and not just kids! Redneck manners.
As a nanny, I never go anywhere without a supply of tissues, band-aids, hand santatizer, etc. I'm a walking first aid kit, but the kids are clean! God bless you, Shannon. Cleanliness is a virtue.

| Hey Jimmy! I'm doing okay. How are you? I don't like working late on Fridays. Ugh. Every single Friday I end up working late now. In the last year and a half or so, the balance of power and responsibility has shifted in my direction at work, and the line between professionalism and familiarity that I have worked so hard to maintain for the last six years has all but been erased. I don't know what to make of it really. It's a very weird dynamic between me and the girls and their parents. We all get along great, but it kind of seems like the parents think of me as a co-parent instead of a nanny/teacher now. I am essentially a third parent, but at the same time I'm not. It's confusing and now I'm rambling. | |

| NASCAR opening day, right? You really shouldn't let Valentine's Day bug you so much. It's just a dumb holiday with no real significance. I will be spending that night working until about 10:30. The girls' parents are going out, so I will handle everything with the kids, like normal. My "Valentines" are five and seven years old, but I'm not going to let it depress me. | |

Yep Feb 18th is the Budwiser shootout...First unnoficial race of the year...Followed by The Great American Race...The Daytona 500. It just bugs me when my friends are all paired up, and yet I am not. Or How even jerks get a good girl, yet I get no one. It just gets unbelivable sometimes.

| Yeah, I know it doesn't seem fair, but think about the relationships those guys must have. Jerky people usually don't have good relationships because they lack respect for the other person. Personally, I would much rather be single than have a boyfriend/husband who is a jerk and doesn't treat people the right way. Eventually the right girl will come along and you will have everything you ever wanted. Just don't dwell on the fact that it hasn't happened yet. That attitude will just push girls away instead of drawing them to you. I know you have been trying really hard to stay positive, so just stick with that attitude and try to enjoy being single. It's really not that bad. | |

| I am trying to be positive, but all these events that people come with a significant other anywhere really tests my ability to be positive. You get what I am saying? | |

| Yeah, I totally get it. It can be very hard to be single when everyone around you is paired up, but remember that all of those relationships aren't going to last. Chances are at least half of those couples will split up at some point and they will be single again. That's just part of life. What's hardest for me is seeing people who are lucky enough to have someone in their lives and they don't appreciate them. That for me is much worse than just thinking, woe is me, I'm alone. To see that other people have what I want (husband, children, etc.) and they don't appreciate how good they have it, that's what gets under my skin. I try to be happy with the blessings I have in my life and not let myself get jealous or bummed out, but I have my moments (hours, days, weeks...) when it gets me down. So yes, I see where you're coming from. | |
