I remember being six or seven and lying awake for hours while everyone else slept. I used to drive myself crazy thinking I heard noises outside, the door opening, etc. I was a paranoid kid.

| Hi Steph! You'll be proud to know that Plugga and I had another Ryan Gosling conversation today. It seems to happen at least 4-5 times a week, ahaha |

haha, yes i notice that a lot i totally get it. i was talking to my grandma last night and it came up that she had never seen "The Notebook" and i was like, umm, we are so watching that soon! you know what? i find it weird that he is dating Eva Mendes. i mean Ryan Gosling, who doesn't love him, right, but he is attractive more in a cute way and she's like sex goddess attractive. just seems weird to me.

You guessed right! It took me a ridiculous amount of time and looks terrible because the spacing got way off, but whatever. It's done and I won't drive myself crazy about not completing it. I think I need to get help for these OCD issues!
Why do I have to get up in less than six hours?! I feel like whining. I'm tired but there's no way I'll be able to sleep. Ugh. dont tell me you have OCD Haha, self-diagnosed, but I'm pretty sure I have a mild form of OCD. I get fixated on numbers, counting, checking, and symmetry, but for the most part it doesn't interfere with my life too much. I keep it under control while I'm at work so it doesn't rub off on the kids, but sometimes I go a little crazy when I leave for the day. I also have issues with germs, so my limits get pushed daily by working with little kids. When I'm with them for 10-11 hours, it's not unusal for me to wash my hands over 100 times in a day. I did have a few panic attacks during the potty training years though! Do you have OCD?

Do you have OCD? yeah, i do. i've always been really self-conscious, so i don't think anyone ever noticed, cause i did a lot of counting in my head and checking things, but not things a lot of people would see and think "oh my god you have OCD" like obsessive handwashing. but yeah. i'm on antidepressants, it helps a bit. i actually couldn't read very much for a long time, because i would get so tied up and anxious about counting letters and phrases and such. i'm getting better about it. i do a lot of the things you said- counting, checking, symmetry. i used to leave my Converse tied up and knotted and i would have to really work my feet into them to get them on, because then i could avoid having to tie my shoes every day and make sure they felt the same degree of tightness. when i had a retail job, i used to line all the dollar bills up the same way in the register and make sure they weren't creased...if i had bobby pins in my hair, there had to be the same amount, even if it messed up my hair, it was more important to know that they were the same amount. i'd even count food i was eating, like m&m's or skittles, i'd be in the movie theater, watching the movie, eating 2 pieces at a time and hold them up in the light so i could make sure what color they were.

You pretty much just described things I have done or currently do. That is so freaky! The Converse, M&Ms, counting phrases (I count words mostly), lining up money...it's all there. Whoa... I have never been self-conscious, but I am a very good actress and can hide these behaviors or cover them up for a while, like when I'm at work. I also have to have things facing a certain way, like the logo on a water bottle or soda can has to be at a certain angle. If it's not, I get very anxious and can't concentrate on anything. I know all of this is totally irrational, I have studied psychology enough to recognize that I have a problem, but I have no insurance so therapy is out of the question. I come from a long line of people with psychological issues, so it's no wonder I'm screwed up!

I come from a long line of people with psychological issues, so it's no wonder I'm screwed up! that's crazy. it's cool to hear that someone else fixates on the same stupid things! they say the best thing for OCD is a combination of therapy (like doing CBT) and meds. i saw a therapist for awhile, when i was really depressed, but i don't feel like i have issues i need to talk about regarding the OCD, so i just see a Dr. for meds. my therapist recommended a lady to me (because she knows i don't have health insurance, either), who wasn't a doctor, but a licensed nurse practitioner, and she is able to prescribe me meds. she doesn't need to see me that often either. and the meds have been pretty cheap, so it's worked out well.

i have not watched his show, even though it used to be on right after one of my favorites (Rescue Me). i read an article on him in Rolling Stone recently and it made me want to check it out. plus i liked how he sold his show to fans online and made it all himself and only charged $5/copy. i also heard he donated a lot of it, if not all, of the money he made off it.

Louis CK is incredible, and that special is worth every penny. So damn funny. Favorite stand up comedian, hits literally all the points I want to hear from a comedian. I feel like such a bandwagoner though. Whatever!
