3 am, but I got no obligations so I can chat for a bit.

I connected these very nice expensive head phones (my brothers) to my mixer earlier. It was awesome I could hear every little detail my condencer mic picked up -its a pretty nice sounding mic. So i just Jamed on my guitar through that for a couple hours.

ah nice...I love good headphones where you are able to pick up the slightest sound in music.
It's like discovering hidden sounds in music...if that makes any sense

Yeah and that's exactly how it was, especially while playing. When i plugged them in and turned on the mixer it was crazy, I heard my family perfectly having a conversation down stairs. I had to adjust levels and stuff because it was picking up so many unwanted sounds.

Head phones really make all the difference, I'm going to steal his every weekend when he comes home

Yikes! I hope the tornadoes stay away, Jimmy. We don't get many around here, but the threat is always there in the summer with all the thunderstorms. There was a tornado in the next town over from mine a few years ago. I'll never forget the way the sky looked that afternoon, an every greenish grey...*shudders*

I'm sure you said before, but what is your paper about? I have always found intelligence tests to be really interesting. I'm kind of a nerd like that.

Yesterday inspiration struck and I was working on the novel I'm writing. I haven't written any new pages in a few months (way too long!), so it felt really good to get back on track, even if it meant missing the chat.

That's fascinating! I have studied psychology, including child psychology with an interest in the gifted mind for years, in college and on my own time. I was labeled as gifted in second grade and I teach gifted children, so I have a personal connection to the field. Have you found any interesting information?

How cool that you started writing a novel! Ten pages is a good start. Who knows, you might it back up again one day, complete it, and become a best selling author. Anything can happen! This novel that I'm working on is actually my fifth. I have written four books in a women's fiction series that I hope will be published one day. I am trying to get a literary agent, but it's tough. This new novel is just mainstream fiction though, unrelated to my series. I love writing!
