| I paid them off about two years ago, I think, and I only owed about $5000 which wasn't bad at all, but it felt like a huge amount at the time. I had scholarships to pay for part of my tuition and I paid part of it myself as well. What was really exciting is when I paid my car off the next year. Now that was a big debt! Then there are credit cards that will never be paid off... Why do I love shopping so much??? | |

| Because clothes are fun. New things are fun!
It's kinda sad that that is the defining part of our culture, but whatever.

| Culture? Who needs culture? Not when we have malls, shopping centers, super stores, and Internet shopping! I hear there used to be things like museums, theaters, libraries, and stuff like that, but they are so, like, 20th century. Fact: I heard three women having almost this exact same conversation at gymnastics last night while I was there with the kids. But they were serious about true culture being outdated and out of style. I almost screamed and threw up simultaneously. Then they started talking about the importance of having botox in your twenties so you can stay youthful and land a rich husband, allowing you to continue shopping compulsively. I had to leave before I caused a scene. | |

| Haha, every town is full of idiots! I know mine is, and they continue to procreate and bring their children to places that I take "my kids" and I have to listen to their asinine conversations that test my patience and self control a little too much. There is so much I want to say that I never do! Very pretty avatar, by the way! | |

History will never be out of style, and neither will books. You are right on all counts! I seriously hate the gym moms. If there weren't impressionable children around I would have had A LOT to say! Yes, I introduce a lot of culture into the kids' lives and so do their parents. They go to the ballet, the theater, museums, libraries, etc. on a pretty regular basis. In the summer when school is out and I'm teaching them, we focus on a different area of the world each week and learn about the history, culture, geography, and arts that come from that region (as well as math, science, English, Spanish, etc.), and they love it! It's my way of giving them the world.

| Shannon, I really have to say that that is truely great that you do that for them. I wish I would've had someone like you around when I was a little kid! I am sure they will grow up to be very smart ladies because of you, and will have so many wonderful memories! |

Aww, thanks Sarah! I try really hard to do the most I can and be the best I can for them, and I'm glad it shows. I tend to be very hard on myself and feel that I can never do enough, but I always try.
