It's just a matter of time. Sooner or later someone on Dimestoresaints will buy that.

Why is he selling it? Isn't he playing that model during liveshows?

Thats not the one he uses in live shows now , the one he uses now is Nash rather than Fender and has a different neck pickup. I've never seen him use that particular one.

Ah yes, he has a humbucker on that Nash Tele. Probably to get a thicker sound than single coils, because that was the reason he started playing Les Pauls

not that it matters since the auction is done. I believe the guy selling it in Brick is the same guy that did the custom '59 pickups that gave him that sound.

that is a pretty sweet guitar, 62 AVRI custom teles are pretty nice, but for that price you could score a Nash or something similar.
Does anyone here have Luther Lee %9 sounds in a tele? How do they sound?
I have a American series deluxe that I've slowly modded into faux tele custom looking guitar. I'm just thinking of upgrading the pickups to either a set that has a high output flatpole (ala Keith Richards) or the 59 sound.

Hi guys just wanted to let you know that i bought the guitar. It got to me in Manchester Uk on Tuesday.
Its got the Luther Lee pickups in it. Some of the first made. It gives it a fatter and beefier sound. They make the pick ups at his store for Brian and Alex.
I have proof the guitar 100% genuine. Bob who i bought it from 9 south guitars does a lot of work with the band. He has got Brian to write me a letter, its on its way to me now. He has an awesome store with great gear in there.
Im really happy with it, the sounds amazing. I will get some pictures on soon.

Congrats on the tele!!
Fatter and beefier sound? Does it still have the late 50's tele/whiteguard characteristics? I've been thinking about ordering up a set of these or a "lap steel/Broadcatser" type set for my tele.
Maybe I will order both and go from there (may give me another excuse to get a second tele!)
