| Benny just stated on Facebook that they cancelled the show. With a very respectful, heartfelt and very well written note:
Here's the full text:
I'm sorry to report that in an effort to conserve power in Tokyo, and for the general safety of everyone coming in and out of the city, the show has been cancelled. We finally made it to town after an extremely wild day and would love to play, but fully respect the decision of the club and promoters to put it off. Over 4 million people are without power and it is obviously in very bad taste to use amplifiers and lights in a time like this.
We are deeply sorry and deeply concerned for the people up on the Northern coast and anyone else who's friends and family are in need. It's an absolutely brutal situation and nothing like we've ever experienced. The Japanese people have handled this situation with the kind of respect and grace I don't think many places in the world can match. People should really take notice as to how well they've treated each other in such a tragic time, in the face of so much fear and doubt. Truly commendable.
It's an incredibly unfortunate situation, but in reality, we got extremely lucky and dodged a bullet. Again, we wish nothing but the best for the people dealing with this and hopefully we can re-schedule the show as quickly as possible. All our best, Benny TGA
