*has stated they ditched the sugar-pop-punk I'm actually very much into pop punk, but I could never stand ATL. Maybe it was the "sugary" part. I'm definitely willing to check out new material if it's supposed to be different, though.

Their last one was pretty enjoyable. I like their old stuff, yeah, but I also won't write off any bands' new material because "it's not what they did in the past." TGA is getting into the territory of having "old" and "new" stuff, if they don't already.

| I actually loved Sound the Alarm, but I couldn't stand/get into Under the Boards. I'm also in the camp that wasn't fond of In Reverie. Everything else they've done is great. | |

| THIS was the year where a lot of the bands that I'm really into put out records (The Gaslight Anthem, The Hold Steady, The Black Keys, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, The Riot Before, Delta Spirit, Sundowner), so I can't really think of that much that I'm looking forward to...
The only things on the docket so far are from some killer local bands (San Diego, CA). Hotel St. George, puts out a few albums every year (5 in the last 2.5 years), so I'm sure they'll have something next year, and a band called Writer has been getting a lot of buzz lately, I think they're coming out with something in 2011.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure I heard a rumor that The Loved Ones should have something coming out soon, be looking forward to that as well.

And they are naming it "Dirty Work", same name as the Rolling Stones album. Said they took alot of influence Pop Punk meets Rolling Stones...what?

| Have to say I'm intrigued about the new DKM record. Despite going off them a bit over the last year, I've heard it's meant to be unreal. Ted Hutt is producing, so that bodes well! | |

I've loved just about everything that Hutt's ever done. That was how I originally got into Lucero. I'd never listened to them until I picked up 1372 Overton Park solely because his name was on it.
