| Nothing else is really coming out this year. What were your favs?
Records 1) Timeshares - Bearble 2) Rival Schools - Pedals 3) Spraynard - Funtitled 4) Joyce Manor - S/T 5) Balance and Composure - Separation 6) Algernon Cadwallader - Parrot Flies 7) Waka Flocka Flame/Gucci Mane - Ferrari Boyz
EP's 1) Hold Tight! - Call The Zoo 2) Self Defense Family (EOAY) - Island Sessions 1
Stuff I should've bought this year, but can't cause I don't have any more money: Mixtapes, Direct Hit!, The Wild, Great Cynics, Leagues Apart
Bummer records: Tyler, The Creator - Goblin (Yikes this was bad, OFWGKTA...so interesting at first then turned out to be really boring) Horrible Crowes - Elsie (Yeah I'll catch some crap for this one, but honestly I don't like this record at all)
Stuff thats coming out next year that I'm super excited for: Menzingers, TGA, HWM, Make Do and Mend, and Joyce Manor

| 2011 has been a ridiculously great year for music, so I'm not going to even try to rank things or limit this list, because that would drive me nuts. Instead, I'm more just using this to organize myself here.
So first, these are all the albums that I would consider "great" and that I was addicted to at least when they came out. I am still listening to most of these on a pretty regular basis though.
Algernon Cadwallader - Parrot Flies Banquets - Top Button, Bottom Shelf Bomb the Music Industry! - Vacation Chuck Ragan - Covering Ground Decemberists - The King is Dead Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones Ha Ha Tonka - Death of a Decade Horrible Crowes - Elsie Into It. Over It. - Proper Joyce Manor - s/t Laura Stevenson & the Cans - Sit Resist Portugal. The Man - In the Mountain In the Cloud Real Live Tigers - Spirit Animal Tom Waits - Bad As Me White Wives - Happeners
EPs, Splits etc.
Banquets/Mayflower - split Daytrader - Last Days of Rome Deer Leap/The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die - split Hooking Up - Can't Lose Koji/La Dispute - Never Come Undone (split)
Albums I Enjoy But Need More Listens
Andrew Jackson Jihad - Knife Man Balance and Composure - Separation Blitzen Trapper - American Goldwing Cut Copy - Zonoscope Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues Larry and His Flask - All That We Know Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math Owen - Ghost Town Ramshackle Glory - Live the Dream Spraynard - Funtitled Timeshares - Bearable Title Fight - Shed Transit - Listen & Forgive Wild Flag - s/t William Elliot Whitmore - Field Songs Youth Lagoon - The Year of Hibernation
Still Waiting On (ordered, in the mail etc.)
Frank Turner - The Second Three Years Japanther - Beets, Limes & Rice Toh Kay (Tomas Kalnoky) - Streetlight Lullabies
Bummers
Blue Scholars - Cinémetropolis Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. - It's a Corporate World Radiohead - King of Limbs
OK, that was a ridiculous list. Maybe you'll find something good in there. Feel free to tell me what I've missed.

| Cobra Skulls - Agitations (great at first, less so with more plays) Sharks - The Joys Of Living 2008-2010 (on recommendations from the board) Leatherbag - Yellow Television (great band from Austin, TX) Leatherbag - Patience EP Dikembe - Chicago Bowls EP (surprisingly good emo-punk from FLA) Cobra Skulls - Bringing The War Home EP (great Fat Wreck debut)
These were all pretty good, but nothing was mind blowing. hopefully we'll get some good stuff the next few months.

| Colmillionaire, Harbortown, I am shocked! Elsie was by far the best album released this year. At least you seem to have come to your senses now, Harbortown. | |

| The new cage the elephant release was certainly disappointing. So was Suck It and See (although that at least had a couple of good songs) but beyond that its been an amazing year for music.
Top of the top:
The Horrible Crowes - Elsie Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones The Vaccines - What did you expect from the Vaccines? The Wonder Years - Suburbia: I've Given You All and Now I'm Nothing Thrice - Major/Minor
Other good stuff:
New Dave Hause and Chuck Ragan records were fantastic. Bon Iver is hard not to like. Same goes for Adele and Lady Gaga to a lesser extent. Manchester Orchestra's Simple Math was amazing. The Airborne Toxic Event's All At Once disappointed at first, but is now growing on me. I'm certainly missing some stuff too. It seems like every other day I'm rediscovering another great album released this year.
