Yeah Debonair, no one has touched my "Lyrics and poetry" thread inweeks either lol

It's not like it's a big deal or anything, I just prefer hearing original material when I come into this thread. And then if I want to hear covers I go to the other one. Personally I like the distinction so I thought I'd bring it up.

Oh yeah nah bugger that aye. I put the incorrect birth year by mistake on sign up. I'm a few months off of 17. Sht for the Nick Cave comparison. It's funny because when I was 15 I covered O Children a couple of times at shows. Admittedly It lacked the pizzazz black gospel back up singers but I'll have to go and revisit that one some time soon.

What do you guys think of this? Just something I've been working on tonight that I'll eventually send to a friend so he can drum, then to another so she can sing. but this is the start of it all.
0:00-1:08ish is just the intro, then the main riff kicks in. the part near the end isn't exactly what it will sound like, just playing around. Let me know what you think

i like this. enjoyed the kinda raw sound

your guitar playing is a bit static/ emotionless though - but i think this will improve with more shows..
drumming is near awesome.

I'm doing a first next week-I am playing electric in public-electric on all my original material and maybe an electronic drum on my effects pedal. I'll try to get video of my stuff.

Just a music blog type thing. Despite the negativity I'm not complaining, it boosted our plays the last couple days.

Haha thanks man. I actually started thinking I should take my own music in that direction, kind of a Lumineers thing. On my way to work today I started working out a new song in my head in that style and I'm really excited about it.

So did you ever get a chance to finish off this new song you were talking about? Everything you do is fantastic but Reach is my favorite. Although Rivers is also out-of-this-world good. I really think you should record a full EP and release it and play as many shows as you can. You got something, man. Such an engaging voice, the old "I'd listen to you sing the phone book" thing.

On a separate note we just wrapped the recording of an EP with our new lineup (we have a bassist and drummer now, and we have additional instrumentation on there as well). So excited to share it with y'all. Hopefully it'll be done before Christmas.

I'll second that. Your sounds is awesome Harbor. Personally, I'd be interested in hearing how you sound when you go all-out vocally, but your music is compelling.
