anyone know how to rip the video from a restricted site like this. some one managed it last year cos theres a video of their set in 2009.

I think the standard way is to download it from iplayer and then convert the file. Only thing is the beebs leeds and reading site doesnt have any download links for the videos

First, I used a proxy to get aroud the bbc country block. Then I ran Replay Media Catcher which is able to rip pretty much every stream on the web.

Could yuo grab the Frank Turner stuff too if ya get a chance?

So I can't watch it through a proxy because it says I don't have JavaScript enabled or Adobe Flash (even though I do on both), and I can't play flv files...I'm not too keen on the technological stuff; any words of advice?

you can't watch video through proxies as far as i know. i'd just download VLC. it plays everything.

Just a quick heads up for everyone not into video ripping too much, just download http://www.streamtransport.com/ this and you`ll be good to go, pretty much self explaining ... enjoy!
