I don't think Brian would ever use a progression like that tbh.

I still hear C F x4 listen to the acoustic version on the KEXP session and see what you think

| It definitely is on that performance, without a doubt. But I'm hearing something (bass, perhaps) like C G Am G on the studio.
By the way, if you haven't done WDIWWWY yet, I'm pretty sure it's something like:
Verse: Bm F# G D
Chorus: D A Bm G | |

| I gotta second JR's C F x4. The bass only plays 2 notes the entire chorus (C and F), so they're not even inverting any of the chorus chords. With that bass line, if there was a G or Am chord, then the G would have to be an inverted 7th chord and the Am would be some secondary 5th chord or something, and those chords have very distinct sounds, which I'm not hearing in this song. | |

| Totally didn't realize JohnnyC and Johnny99 were 2 different people until they disagreed on this song.
Anyway, as for WDIWWWY, I think your chorus is right, but I got something different for the verses. I had it typed up, but my computer died before I could hit "Send". There were 2 different parts (the "When we were lions..." part was different than the rest of the verses), both using the same chords as the chorus. I don't think there's an F# anywhere in there. I'll type it all up again soon enough. Maybe tomorrow, if I think of it.

| I think the "When we were lions..." part is G D A Bm. But I'm not really sure. | |
