I know this review is only from a blog, but I thought it was worth posting, mistakes and all:

G is for Green, Gym, Goo, Get and GASLIGHT
Last night I saw The Gaslight Anthem at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair. I was tired from a long day of work, had a really sore back from sitting in my chair all day, and was generally in a bad mood... and waiting through 3 not-so-hot opening acts didn't help much. Then TGA came on. I haven't been to many shows in my life, but this was, by far, the greatest one I've seen yet. Not only were they better live than on the record, but they played for a full hour and a half and were really nice guys. Their music was genuine, funny, haunting, and exciting all at once. I've never gotten the sense at any show that I was witnessing history, but with the place sardine-packed full of screaming people and everybody in the seating section on their feet, I got the feeling that I was seeing something special. Brian O'Fallon left it all the stage and looked sad that he had to go, but promised us "We're going to go write you a new one. See you next year." I wish I was a better fan, because I only knew about 60% of the songs they played... I guess I'll have to pick up their old stuff.
I wish I had somebody there to see it with me. Maybe next time though... if I can get people to believe me about how good it was. If you muted the sound and just looked at the crowd, it could have been a Yellowcard or Taking Back Sunday show... the mosh pits were surprisingly brutal... and the crowd surfing was nonstop. Even the songs I didn't know had me singing along by the end. This song was one of my favorites from the show even though it was the first time I had heard it.
