| Okay, I'm starting this thread 'cause I just found out that Joey's first full length solo CD is coming out on September 29th, and I'm getting a little excited. Except, when I found out only 4 of the songs on the CD are exclusive to this project, I was a little disappointed, but oh well. All his acoustic stuff is really good. They're so dark and haunting it's a bit of a downer, but still excellent. Joey's bands: Lagwagon, Bad Astronaut, The Playing Favorites, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Afterburner Discuss about Joey or any of his bands. | |

| Alright, after listening to Bridge, I'd say it just a little above average. Not a great CD, but it has its moments, and is definitely enjoyable. I was hoping for fewer remakes though; 7 of the 12 songs were recorded by other bands of his | |

| ya know how on iTunes there's a "composer" field? I put Joey's name in for Lagwaon, Bad Astronaut, Afterburner, The Playing Favorites, and his own solo work (not Me First though). Last night I was playing all Joey's songs on my ipod, and I only got to 53/255. Cape's definitey the hardest working songwriter I've ever heard of. If anyone's interested, he's been updating his myspace with new acoustic versions of old songs. http://rapidshare.com/files/206515096/Stokin__The_Neighbors.mp3 http://rapidshare.com/files/207174016/These_Days.mp3 http://rapidshare.com/files/211989969/Goodbye.mp3 | |

| Well he hasn't put up any new songs lately, but you should still check ... it looks like he's been putting up videos regularly, like a tour video blog. Some of it's pretty amusing, as I'm sure you'd all know. Just about everyone has been to a Lagwagon show and laughed at Joey's stage antics. Anyway, on these videos it shows part of Joey's set. He plays a lot of the songs you'd expect, but then again some random ones from requests: Wind In Your Sail (Lagwagon, solo) Who We've Become (solo) Killers and Liars (Bad Astronaut) Goodbye (Lagwagon) Razor Burn (Lagwagon Know It All (Lagwagon) Burn (Lagwagon) Lullaby (Lagwagon) Greg's Estate (Bad Astronaut) 17 Years (Bad Astronaut & Armchair Martian) Jessica's Suicide (Armchair Martian cover) (Bad Astronaut) Linolium (NOFX cover) (Bad Astronaut) Alien 8 (Lagwagon) The Chemist (Lagwagon) What I'm getting at is this. I was wondering if either of you guys, vamike or stalls_standing, have the technology to record the show. I'd love to hear how his sets are as of late. | |

| There was recently news that he's putting out a new album, supposedly with 10 Lagwagon/Bad Astronaut songs and 10 new originals. He said he'd be posting rough versions of the songs on his myspace page every week or so. Since I'm giving it to everyone else, here's the first one, Making Friends.

And since I love Jon Snodgrass's addition, here's audio from the video of To All My Friends.

| I'm going to see Joey, Jon Snodgrass (Drag The River) and Tony Sly (No Use For A Name).
I only have the Cape/Snodgrass split, Liverbirds, so I don't know that many songs but at €10 a ticket ya can't go wrong. Hopefully it'll be good! | |

| I`ve been to the Münstershow and it was really alright ... didn´t like Tony Sly too much on his own, but Jon Snodgrass was totally awesome ... | |
