| And it doesn't look like the Pier 26 shows are sold out yet, so that may alleviate some of the crowd issues. At least we can hope... | |

| Went to Pier 26 on Monday night for fun. (as in the band). Not a great venue... just a slab of concrete and a stage. Everything is towards the back, so if you get towards the front, not a fun experience to get to the food or beers. I was towards the middle, by the soundboard and the sound was pretty mediocre. Also, I still have no idea where the bathrooms are. | |

| http://www.nyrestroom.com/ perhaps of some use to people with bladders.
Supposedly there are restrooms in Battery Park and something called a Pier 25 Comfort Station.

| Not gonna lie, I don't usually like outdoor shows for sound, even if they're often cool in other ways.
So we possibly have to go to the next pier over to find a restroom? Oh jeez. Thanks for the info!

| Yeah. 25 seems to be the best bet. The building where the restrooms are seem to be right by the entrance, so I don't think you'll have to go in and start searching. Also, ignore my Battery Park comment. My sense of geography was off! Maybe they will have port-a-potties or something. I would think there would be some kind of facility there. If not for us, then the employees at least!
So the show starts at 6. Gaslight's at 8. The Bouncing Souls are going to play for over an hour then? Or did anyone hear about any mention of a 3rd band?

| I ended up going to the bathroom at the pizza place on North Moore and Greenwich. Pretty solid pizza and Italian ices too! | |

| I was also at the Fun show on Monday. There is a 'restroom' station set up on the right when you enter the pier. It's basically about 10-15 porta potties lined up, but there is a sink and towels there too and I only had to wait a couple minutes in line. The sound wasn't great and it rained, but overall not bad as far as outdoor shows go. | |

| I love that we're so honest here we can openly discuss our bathroom paranoia! Thanks for the update redheadchick! Meanwhile, I happened to see on Twitter that the Bouncing Souls are actually on at 6:30. So I guess they'll be on for about an hour. | Line is maybe 10-15 people deep for those who care about those things. Sounds like sound check is starting. Would be cool to hear actual songs checked as I never have before. | |

| Quick review:
Great show. Crowd had very good energy, even though there wasnt a ton of moshing it didn't seem (though i did see 2 pits which looked relatively tame and respectful which the perfect way to do it) I thought the crowd was singing along with a lot of the songs and filling in where Brian wasn't singing which is great.
I noticed that the songs definitely continue to be played at a slower pace. Not totally sure why they are doing it. I don't mind it, but I could see some people not liking it. I remember when I was seeing them back in 09 many of these songs were much faster. Also, and Im not sure if its related, i often find it hard to know what song it is based on the first 5-10 seconds of some of these songs lately. Im not sure if its cause of the different pace, or slightly different pitch they have been at lately.
Brian seemed to being having a good time. A lot of talking by him...sometimes even too much probably where he lost the crowd which is rare for him.
I also noticed on at least 3 or 4 songs he improvised and added some lyrics from other songs. I tried to mentally take notes but forget it all, other than his usual Backseats change. Is there a place anywhere where someone has listed all the snippets he has put into songs? I wanna say it was 3 or 4 today.
Ramones cover is cool...im not a fan of theirs but covers on occasion are always fun.
Solid venue plenty of room, sounded pretty good as well from what I was expecting. Bouncing Souls I thought sounded great actually aside from Gregs mic being too low.
Also sorta funny story, when Greg came out on 45 (at least i think it was him, was pretty far back) someone in the crowd near me yelled out "Holy f*cking sh*t its springsteen!!!!!!" And I wanted to die with laughter.
Oh and 1 major thing I left out. I think they were billed to play 8-10. They ended up playing 8:15-9:45. Can you guys please play 2 hours! We know you can do it. You are the headliners now guys.

| "I noticed that the songs definitely continue to be played at a slower pace." Glad you said that because I thought it was just me! "i often find it hard to know what song it is based on the first 5-10 seconds of some of these songs lately." Not always, but I definitely was like "What?" when they were playing an intro, and then it turned into Handwritten. I don't look at that as a negative though. Just saying I know what you meant. "Brian seemed to being having a good time." Agreed. During The Backseat it was "Just Like Heaven" lyrics. I got there during Bouncing Souls and didn't have any real issue getting down front. PS I saw port-a-pottys and that restroom I was talking about is right at the entrance. But you can't access it after you've gone into the show area. Dave Hause came out to sing part of "45". The reason they delayed the song was so he could have time to run out on stage (at least I think that's the reason for the delay). He was up in the balcony and I saw Brian telling him to come out and sing. Dave was like "What? Right NOW?" and then he booked it downstairs. The space before the encore almost had me thinking they weren't going to do one, but alas they did I had a girl in front of me crying her eyes out for the last half hour of the show (the encore on). I think she got separated from her friends. It was both annoying and sad. Annoying cus I had just found a great spot and she would lean back and forth, effectively making it hard to watch the show. Sad because she was obviously scared. Hope her night ended well anyway! Also, here's the poster for this weekend: | |

| Nice poster, totally forgot to look for one! I got there late and wanted to catch what was left of the bouncing souls set so I totally skipped the merch booth before and forgot to go after.
Although I loved hearing blue dahlia and 1930, even we came to dance is rarer these days but I wish they would change up the setlist a little more. Maybe I'm just being picky.
And that crowd was CRAZY. Huge pit in the front. It started as two and then they joined. Compared to the last gaslight show I went to (second terminal 5 show), this is a nice change. And Brian was enjoying the show so much more this time!

| I was standing near people who were enjoying the show but didn't get too crazy. I could tell from the singing along that there was probably more action in the middle. It seemed like more of a Jersey crowd than NYC (?) Only because people really cheered for Cookman Avenue and I doubt if anyone in NYC knows what that is. I didn't until Gaslight anyway!
Also, why do I keep getting stuck next to the drunk girls who start out dancing with each other, then take a bunch of iPhone photos of themselves, then show each other their entire camera rolls, only to leave before the set is over. What is that. #Alcohol

| Oh another thing- they had a bunch of food trucks (and beer stands) within the confines of the concert area that still seemed to be open after the show. In case food was of concern. And I did see the magic word mentioned on one of the menus. #Nutella | |
