Yup, same here. My roommate had his bike stolen a few months ago, one that he built himself and was very fond of. Shit happens in those parts for sure.

Still, I love living there because my roommates are fucking awesome, and the busstops going downtown and to school are literally right outside the house. I could also walk in either direction in 10 minutes if I wanted to. Great location!

Yeah, that's one thing I like about Oakland -- it's just a bus ride/BART train away from San Francisco and a quick bus ride to a lot of museums, libraries, book stores, record shops, music venues. It's nice to live in a place with all that after living in a farm town for 18 years.

Bay Area Rapid Tranist. It's like a subway in San Francisco and Oakland.

I have, and I think I prefer Rasputin more than Amoeba...its cheaper.

I'll have to check rasputin out, ever since borders closed it's been hard to come by cd stores round the hood, other than amoeba.

Rasputin has a good collection of cheap used CDs...and they are all good quality.

awesome, cd's are becoming increasingly scarce around here, which is scary. so ill definitely be hitting rasputin up sometime soon.
