i'm trying to find a photo of what i mean, not coming up with anything just right...

but i mean, on men, a nice dressy shirt and tie, maybe also a jacket, with jeans, esp. light jeans, just ugh

My outfit...Short Sleve Black button Down shirt, Levis either faded or brand new, A Leather belt with a guitar belt buckle(It has a guitar image on it), Black socks, and a pair of Black Coverse hi Tops. as well as a watch, and glasses/contacts.

i forgot i was logged on here...i've been away awhile. i had to take my dog to get groomed and shaved, as she has gotten some pretty bad mats. i didn't realize i was going to have to leave her there for a few hours and i felt really anxious leaving her. i've never dropped her off somewhere and left her with no one that she knows. so i'm anxious. don't like leaving her with strangers and i am just paranoid about anything bad happening to my pups. hopefully going to pick her up soon.

You know, I actually I figured you could be talking about guys like, right after I posted, but figured I spent too much time typing it out to delete it.

Still, it's not that bad! I think it can work, par exemple (Is gingham not dressy enough?):

It's not a jacket, but it kinda fits. Light jeans usually look terrible on everyone, though, no matter what you wear. But I get what you're saying though, there's a definitive line between being able to pull it off stylishly and looking like a "cool" business guy (a la KIEFER SUTHERLAND.).

the guy in the top photo is working it, he pulls it off, plus the darker jeans help. and the guy in the bottom picture, yeah, that doesn't bother me at all. i guess i just have seen bad examples and it's either something you can pull off or it just really bad. but i'm kind of thinking of like a darker jacket, lighter jeans (which, you're right, never a good look on their own!). i just don't like when it looks like they are dressed for a fancy event up top, and then jeans like a bum on the bottom. haha. i'd probably make more sense if i had found a good photo to show in the first place...
