| I am so, so very happy. TGA added a Dallas show on October 8th! I'm also going to see The National on October 9th, so it'll be an awesome weekend! The only downside? The XX is also playing the 8th I really wanted to see them, but I gotta go with TGA. And Verbose.... your avatar is awesome. Calvin & Hobbes are the best! | |

Really? That makes me feel a bit better. I guess they're one of those bands that's best in the studio.

This is SO true!! 21+ venues are a blessing when youre actually over 21 cause then you don't have to deal with screaming/crazy fangirls and moshing/crowdsurfing idiots.

| Interesting to see 1930 in there and that Brian did it solo.
I wonder if someone requested it, because I think they've said they're giving 1930, River's Edge and a few others a rest for the time being.

| That Winnipeg set looks fantastic. Not only did "1930" come back, but looks like all the other staples from "SOS," too: "Wooderson," "Joe," "Contender," "Navesink." Wow. I guess condolences for those who were looking for the rarer ones from that album we've seen on this tour, but I'd take this set over the one I saw in Columbus in July (again, on paper). Looks like it has better flow. The only thing missing is ORPHANS! Why is this not an every-night thing? | |

| Epic concert!!! Got Tom May and Eric Keen of the Menzingers to sign a Menzingers shirt (they were just hanging around the merch table after the show). Gaslight were stellar!!! I think the highlight for me was hearing them play She Loves You. | |

| From what I can remember from the show they played at my school last night (UBC), in no particular order:
American slang Boxer The queen of lower chelsea Spirit of jazz I could'a been a contender The 59' sound Great expectations Miles davis and the cool I'da called you woody, joe Bring it on The diamond church street choir Old haunts Stay lucky (might not of played this, but I think they did)
Encore:
Say I Won't (recognize) The Backseat
I was slightly disappointed that there were no softer songs like HLAYK or BJAWT, but it was in front of a bunch of university students so I understand that they wanted it to be more upbeat. And they're also playing another show tonight, so no worries.

HLAYK or BJAWT that sounds more like someone throwing up ... (makes me think of Calvin fussing about his food yet again)
