The Backseat single ?

There are several sites that claim that The Backseat is being released as a single on 21 September. However, I can't find anything about this on the official sites and I certainly don't see a chance to pre-order it anywhere. So what's this all about and, if it's true, what format(s) will the release be in?

if so, it'd be the only thing i didnt buy unless there was a unreleased track or something.

I had looked on the usual sites like HMV and stuff numerous times, and found nothing. It does seem a little surprsing, especially given the amount of airplay it seems to be getting in the UK (more so than other singles). Wonder why they're not releasing it...??

That's a very good point... maybe people will buy the single version if they've heard it on the radio, so they know 'which one it is' so to speak?

I think releasing it as a digital single will allow it to show up under "New Releases" on sites like iTunes and Amazon, which would give them a bit more exposure.

I love that cover.

Anybody seen it today? It was supposed to be released the 21st right?

hi all, just to let you know, i've managed to find more gaslight promos -now on my website..

i also have the following:

great expectations-3 track promo cd
black card sleeve with 2x info stickers front and rear.
on plain white cdr with hand written "the gaslight anthem" on in black ink.
cd has surface marks but no playing problems..

1/great expectations
2/miles davis and the cool -live at kexp acoustic
3/great expectations -live at yrock acoustic

this is definitely an official promo, but not in the usual style of promo releases (cdr white disc with hand writing)..it has come from my usual trusted supplier with exceptional contacts within the record industry, so i can instantly dismiss it as a "knock off".

bearing in mind that its a cdr and its condition, i'm open to any offers on this,as i'm loathe to put any value on it.
