Is he a big football ("soccer") fan?

Just seen some YouTube video's and he's wearing a Celtic FC jersey in it. And in the Letterman performance he's wearing an FC St. Pauli hat.

I thought the Pauli hat might just have been because of what St. Pauli stand for, and the type of people that makes up the fanbase, but the Celtic jersey got me thinking he must just be a fan of the sport.

Does anyone know??

I dont know for sure but he was wearing a Newcastle jersey when I saw them in SC last Oct.

Hmmmmmm. I'm not gonna be able to make it to see them on Wednesday, but they're more than likely playing Oxegen (festival) this summer. Doubt I'd get to meet him there!


I'd still like him to have my Drogheda United jersery though.
Guess I'd have to get upfront and throw it on stage to him!

I seem to recall reading an interview with Benny once and I think he said something about someone throwing a Manchester City shirt at him when he was in Manchester and demanding his loyalty! Maybe next time they're here (Manchester) I should take a couple of United shirts and throw them to Brian and Alex L.!!!

Maybe Alex R. just picked them up on his travels?

I don't know if he is a big soccer fan or not, but we did watch the semi finals of the Euro 2008 game (russia vs somebody... maybe the Turks?) at a bar in Berlin.
