Yes, I got the DVD last Christmas. Very good, although part 2 was much more interesting I thought.

| Man I was hoping there would be a discussion about this dude.
I remember watching the 'Hurricane' w/ Denzel Washington and hearing Bob Dylan for the first time. He's a great songwriter, although his voice has got progessively worse with age.
But he sounds great on 'Blonde on Blonde', 'Bringing it all back home' & 'Highway 61 revisted'.
Bob Dylan is definitely one of my favourite artists and I don't think music would be the same without him.

| Bob is great. I have a few albums, including later ones, but have not bought anything for quite a few years. I saw him live once when he played with Tom Petty. The show opened with a half hour solo set by Roger Mcguinn [Byrds], then Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers played for a about an hour, and then Bob came on and played a full set with TP&THB as his backing back. This was in the early '80s. | |

| Man the more I listen to Bob the more I like him.
I saw an awesome video of Tom Petty covering Rainy Day Woman #12 & 35. It was really good.

| Highway 61 Revisited is my favorite, but I find myself listening to New Morning rather often although I'm not sure why. | |

You hate Dylan just for that? Good lord I'd hate to get on your bad side... i'm pretty sure he's joking. "I Want You" came out on Blonde On Blonde in 1966, when Springsteen was 16 years old. He learned his first song on the guitar the previous year. He wasn't even the singer in his band yet when Blonde on Blonde hit shelves and I Want You was released as a single.

what a guy Update on this: NPR had the stream of "Duquesne Whistle." You don't always know what to expect from Bob, but I dig the vibe. His voice has aged but it almost has a Waits-esque gruff to it.

| Yep, listened to it yesterday. Really liking it so far, Scarlet Town is fantastic! Found this quote yesterday: - Quote :
- All over this album, Dylan splatters enough blood to make Quentin Tarantino wince.

"i want you" is a Dylan song don't give me that "he made it his own" crap. his version doesn't hold a candle to the original.

"not funny" in this case just means kinda dumb.
