| Been to 17 shows and still never heard Bring It On, so I'll pick that as the song I hope for. | |

| I'll have more tomorrow after I'm rested.
Convention Hall aside THAT was the best Gaslight show I've seen in 22 shows. Hands down.

| Even better than Webster Hall.... incredible setlist. Wow. What a night. (Though the crowd in the upper levels was as annoying as ever) | |

| I'll say more tomorrow but that setlist. When they said they changed up at least 15 songs from Webster I was like "yes! This is what I've been desperately hoping these guys would do for ages!" A lack of variety in the set list is always my number one pet peeve and they more than exceeded what I was hoping for. And I think that's the most American Slang or Sink or Swim I've gotten at a show since the AS tour! Without a doubt, the best set list I've seen them do. At least since 2010.
Side note: they also played Red At Night/I'm on Fire in addition to what's on that set list pictured above.

| I was floored last night. The setlist was incredible!!! That sets the bar high, I don't know if I'll see a set that good for a long time. | |

| Great show. I thought the webster hall show was a little better. I just dont love certain songs on the setlist...i know people love jonny and woody joe, but i just cant get in to em. red violins is also meh to me. but obviously its all relative and it was a great show as usual.
i do have 1 conundrum. its never happened to me before. there was this 1 girl standing next to me who was singing...which is cool...almost everyone there is singing and thats better than moshing or shoving or just talking to your friends cause youre a jerk and cant listen to a slow song for 5 minutes. however for some reason this 1 girls voice was going through my ear plugs and into my brain. its never happened before but for 50% of the show all i could hear was her voice. normally when everyone is singing you hear it as one collective group singing and brian. i was hearing just her voice. im not sure if it was the pitch or what it was but all of her WOOOOOOOOS and singing was like nails on a chalkboard. it was brutal. i wanted to turn around and tell her to STFU and stop singing, but that doesnt seem right cause everyone is singing...for some reason i was just hearing her. it was super weird and its never happened to me at a concert before. no idea what if anything aside from move i could do.

That sets the bar high, I don't know if I'll see a set that good for a long time. Mix it up every night. Just like they did last night.

| Setlist couldn't have been more balanced:
Sink or Swim: 6 '59 Sound: 4+1 B Side American Slang: 4+1 B Side Handwritten: 5 Get Hurt: 4 Señor And The Queen: 1
I probably would have preferred 6 from Get Hurt at this point and 4 from Sink or Swim but it doesn't matter.
Loved the slowed down version of Great Expectations. Red at Night/I'm on Fire was fantastic as well. I think the band really sounds better than they ever have to be honest.

| I'm still nearly speechless about this show. They don't need to change up 15 songs EVERY night, but it's seriously amazing when they do. Especially on dates that are close together. There's not much of a worry of playing the same set in NYC as LA but they have a tendency to only change things in a significant way every 6-7 shows and as a result if someone's going to multiple shows they're probably seeing 2-5 nights of nearly the same set list. They totally destroyed that pattern last night and I'm still amazed. The energy from the band and the crowd was great. I wish there was a little more movement and a little less just constant crush, but all in all not a bad crowd. And I agree with SirBrad. The setlist couldn't have been more balanced and I am thrilled about that. So much better than when they play 8-10 songs off 59 sound, 1 off SOS, 2 off American Slang, and the rest split between handwritten and get hurt. As a side note. Everyone complains about Terminal 5 as a venue, particularly the sound and while this was my first time going there, I personally liked it. The sound was better than the previous two nights, the security was good apart from their inability to remove crowd surfers without injuring the front row. And their heat was working unlike Lupo's. - turnitin2004 wrote:

Man that sucks it was for the whole show. I've definitely had times where I could hear the people around me a little too distinctly, especially on the slow songs and it's AWFUL. This is why I try to mouth the words rather than sing them as much as possible through out the show unless it's a really loud song. And you're right, it's tough because you can't exactly be like "um, could you not sing along, thanks".

| This show was fucking amazing and that's all I really have to say. When they dove into Diner at the end my friend and I lost our shit and it was the best ending to a show I could have ever asked for, the building exploded.
Also I do believe there are times where I may have sung loudly during slow songs (since that's a point of discussion lol), I just don't pay attention sometimes if it's a show I'm really into.

I'll be honest, my choice to not sing aloud if I can help it, is more for my own benefit of not hearing myself than anyone else's benefit. Whether you have a good voice or bad, screaming at the top of your lungs at a show tends to not sound very good, haha.

They should absolutely be changing 15 songs up when they are playing the same city two nights in a row. They have a catalog of 5 albums, an EP, b-sides... I've seen bands do 100% different setlists when they play the same city on consecutive days, and it's always made me love that band more. For them to do 40+ unique songs over two nights is a really good effort and made the back to back shows very worthwhile. It makes me way more likely to make a strong effort to get to multiple nights in the future (perhaps even traveling if they are doing it somewhere besides NYC). Wish we'd gotten Meet Me By the River's Edge one of the two nights, but that's a minor quibble.
