your favorite TGA album (new 2014 poll)

It is never a good time to run a favourite album poll just after a new album is released, as that album is usually at an unfair (dis)advantage.  Hence, now that two years have passed since the last proper TGA album, a favourite album poll might be more meaningful.

Here goes.

(I have excluded Elsie, as this is a TGA poll, but did include the B-Sides and the iTunes Session.)

I mean seriously, we all know the B-Sides is going to run away with it so why bother.

I almost went AS so it wouldn't be so lopsided to T59S, but I can't lie. Although AS is a very close second.

Also, for what it's worth, while I agree Elsie shouldn't have been included, I would have voted for it.

If Senor and the Queen was a full album....I reckon it would easily win.

This poll was only ever going to go one way. What WOULD be interesting would be a 'your second favourite album' poll.

It's SO hard to choose, all of them are such great albums and so different from one another...

Hehe - this is like asking a parent to pick their favourite kid.
You know they have one; but can't say so as not to diminish the others.

There are very few songs in TGA's catalogue I don't care for and digital selection/shuffle/playlists aside, the full album I listen to least often is actually American Slang.

Also voted for the T59S becasue this thing has a lot of work and soul to it. It's one step above everything.

Good thing Live at Park Ave was left out because that would've really given T59S a run for its money.    

59Sound, but very close with Handwritten. If I should pick five favourite songs, I think 2 or 3 of them would be from Handwritten, but Here's Looking At You, Kid cléarly on top. So it's very hard to say..

'59 Sound is almost certainly always going to be on top. Easily my favorite record from any band, ever. But it is it's own thing. I'm glad the guys are branching out to try new sounds. Five high quality records, plus Señor and the Queen/B-Sides. No point in trying to replicate 59S. J keep putting out other great stuff.

59S is my #1, with a four way tie for second between AS, GH, HW and SOS. Is that a cop out?
