I think the line is "And there are too many spirits who live here haunting me". At least that's what it said on the lyrics sheet I tried to take a picture of

I kinda hear "there's too many spirits that live here, and they roll their waves on me"

Wow that is hard to read, but I'm seeing what you said about "haunting me" at the end. I just don't hear it.   

And it really sounds like he says deceiving but it looks like he typed "deceived"

I got it! The line is "and they always haunt me" It would fit because, you can see he sang a word or two different from that lyric sheet and that would make it super close to "haunting me" but still fit the number of words he's clearly singing.

writing lyrics is weird cuz you kinda have to change things around till they sound right, especially after not having played it very much yet

So, I typed up what I believe are accurate or close to accurate lyrics based on the video from the Crossroads show. Feel free to point out mistakes!

I included an "Alternate ending" because there were a good handful of differences between this version and the one heard in the clip from the stone pony show. I don't know which is "officially" the correct version or if it's a combo of the two. It's hard to know if he changed words or just made some mistakes one of the two times.

Mostly it's just C, E, Am, F
However at the end of each verse and at each interlude kind of bit there's an Am, G, C
Picking pattern: I think I'm over complicating it but I do the same as in Here's looking at you kid and National Anthem which is (string names) A, D, B, G, D, G.
