| Following on from Christope's topic of listing everyone's top ten songs from the previous year, I thought it would be interesting to see which albums have stood out for everyone in 2013. Therefore, my top the albums (which are interchangeable except The National in #1) this year are:
1. Trouble Will Find Me: The National 2. The Temperance Movement: The Temperance Movement 3. Devour: Dave Hause 4. Lightening Bolt: Pearl Jam 5. The Weatherman: Gregory Alan Isakov 6. The Future is Cancelled: Captain, We're Sinking 7. Pedestrian Verse: Frightened Rabbit 8. The Greatest Generation: The Wonder Years 9. Tape Deck Heart: Frank Turner 10. Reflektor: Arcade Fire
Missing some great albums like 'The Next Day' by Bowie, 'Dear River' by Emily Barker, 'Once I was an Eagle' by Laura Marling and I've only just started up on the Arcade Fire record so that'll most probably work its way up my list. | |

| Weird year. Was expecting Reflektor to be #1 but it... wasn't to my liking BUT I suppose we still got a few cool albums. Hopefully this list will turn me on to some more cool stuff that came out this year - I'm looking at you, the 1975 and Captain We're Sinking! EDIT: I'm surprised I've even listened to ten albums this year 1. Trouble Will Find Me - The National 2. Tape Deck Heart - Frank Turner 3. Days Are Gone - HAIM 4. ...Like Clockwork - Queens of the Stone Age 5. Mechanical Bull - Kings of Leon 6. AM - Arctic Monkeys 7. LP2 - Restorations 8. Devour - Dave Hause 9. The Beast in Its Tracks - Josh Ritter 10. Lightning Bolt - Pearl Jam | |

| Everyone's covered most of what I would have put, but I just want to mention Chance the Rapper's "Acid Rap" for anyone who's never heard of it. Very unique album with great production, this might not be the right audience to suggest it to but check it out if you're looking for something different. | |

| Yeah nah, that Jason Isbell album is gun even though it's a bit more of a quieter affair than any of his previous works. I remember earlier this year being arm in arm with a bunch of complete strangers at one of his gigs all yelling at the top of our lungs "DON'T WANNA DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE IN A SUUUUUPEEER 8 MOTEL..." | |
