Nov. 26th at Globe Media Lab in Boston

Not to brag, but this is kind of a big deal. We hoodwinked The Gaslight Anthem into stopping by the Globe Media Lab before their big rock n' roll show on Monday the 26th at the House of Blues.

Check out a music video, then come back on Monday ... official time TBD, but most likely around 2:30 to 3 p.m.

yeahhh i mean, ive lived in massachusetts all my life, so maybe the green monster is common knowledge for me. but that was weird

He's a Yankee fan which means the two teams in baseball he should know the most about are the yanks and the red sox. Not to mention the green monster is a part of baseball history! tisk tisk.

is there anywhere to hear this if i missed it?

Part about him not knowing what the Green Monster was just shows he's a casual baseball fan. Benny is a big Yanks fan, must have made him laugh.

Here's the link! I haven't listened to the songs yet, but I did listen to the interview. Thought it was really funny. Once again, Brian just woke up shortly before the interview. Someone get that man an alarm clock

The interviewer seemed aggressive about weird things.

Also if I'm being honest, I thought the Green Monster was actually the big green wall inside the park, not the entire park.

Thanks! I still can't believe he's never heard of the green monster. I'd understand if he weren't from the north east. Even Alex R. was trying to explain it to him and I've never seen him show much of an interest in baseball. And yeah she worded it weird calling it "the park" but that's not enough to throw him if he actually knew what it was.

Still a great interview. Haha poor Bruce barely made his team. Bruce loves baseball, I bet he'd be disappointed to not make a team of rock musicians. I want this team to actually form haha, I'd watch that game. Put them up against a team of shitty pop stars.

The Gaslight Anthem talks some baseball

Boston.com has its own radio station, RadioBDC and they've convinced a few cool bands to come play short sets at the Media Lab we have.

Brian Fallon and Alex Rosamilia from The Gaslight Anthem were there this afternoon and did three songs.

The band is out of New Jersey and Fallon is a big sports fan, especially of the Yankees. He joked about being born a Jets fan and eternally regretting it. He also said that he would stab Nick Swisher if the Yankees outfielder tried to join the Red Sox.

The band is playing at the House of Blues tonight.

I'm so confused because sometimes when you hit play on HCMM it plays the few minutes before the song where they're talking and then goes into it, but most of the time it skips that and just plays the song. It's so weird!
