| Amazing concert last night. Angry Johnny had to have been a highlight of the concert. I was in the second row of people towards the middle! I can see Howl becoming a crowd favorite once everyone knows the words. | |

JimJ, i think i saw you in the crowd, but i was right up in the front row, so i couldn't lose that spot to come say hey.
Ha, don't blame you there. I was hoping for a better spot than I got but ended up running a little late. Still got a decent spot. I'm tall, so I can stand pretty much anywhere and have a good view. What a great fucking show! Loved the venue too, cool place. I hope I get the chance to see them again soon and get to hear some more Handwritten stuff live. The more I listen to that album the more I fall in love with it.

| The concert was amazing it was my first time seeing them live and they are my absolute favorite band, but was anybody else kind of bummed out by the crowd. They just didn't seem to be in it like I thought they should be. I was going insane the whole time. | |

Where were you standing? Up in the front girls were crying during Blue Jeans, and I couldn't hear Brian over the sound of the crowd. A fight almost started up front during the last chorus of The 59 Sound too!

| I was stuck near the back at the sound booth but as the show went on kept getting closer and closer up. I could see that the people that were right up front were full of energy, but everybody else that was in front of me just seemed dead about it. I guess I needed to be up front with everybody else who were into it. That aside, I would travel anywhere to see them play again. The concert was worth the expense plus more. | |

Yeah I agree with you on that! I would easily go to DC or Atlanta to see them. Just a question, during the first 3 songs could you hear Brian okay?

| Not really, I know they asked them to turn him up after the first couple of songs. I am not really sure because I was singing my heart out with him so I am not really certain. Do you have any idea what song they slipped in during the breakdown of Angry Johnny and The Radio? I believe he was singing something about a gypsy. | |

I wasn't there but this was likely Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac.

| It was, indeed, Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac. My friend and I were front row center, and she's a huge Fleetwood Mac fan and freaked out about it. She referred to it as a Stevie Nicks song (since Stevie wrote it) after the show and Brian corrected her and said "Actually, it's Fleetwood Mac." ha. Just wanted to say hi to everyone who waited in the rain before the show! I think we're all bonded for life now because of that. Can't wait to see all of you at shows again in the future! Not only was I super impressed by the fans at this show, but after the show, the band could not have been cooler. They never once acted like there was somewhere they would rather be than hanging out with their fans in the parking lot of a strip mall. I took some photos at the show (not nearly as good as those pro ones that are out there. Sorry!) if anyone would like to check them out: Click here for the rest: Chapel Hill 07.19.12 | |

| Success! The buddy I took with me to the show just messaged me that seeing them live has made him a fan. His favorite album is The '59 Sound (though he's getting Handwritten tomorrow. I played the stream for him in the car but there were other people and a lot of talking, so he didn't get a proper listen) and his favorite song is Cowgirls. I'm so happy I might finally have someone to share my obsession! LOL | |

| ashleybb: You were out there in rain too? I don't know if I met you or not, but i was out there. I was the guy who borrowed bermudanc94's guitar and played the Tim Barry song right before the rain started. I ended up getting a terrible cold because of that rain and I'm still sick. It was totally worth it though. | |

| I was! My friend and I were 4th and 5th in line and were front row center for the show. I ended up gluing my fake eyelashes to the wall. I think you joined us under the umbrella shelter we made after we were all soaked anyway?
And I ended up with a cold, too. Boo.
