Chapel Hill - Cat's Cradle - 07/19/2012

This will be my first time seeing TGA, and I am so amazingly stoked by this. Is anybody else here going?

(I originally said 'Carrboro', because that's how the Cat's Cradle used to be listed. I think they are right beside of each other or something. I don't know. The South is weird.)

I will be there!! And Carrboro is right outside Chapel Hill but CH is more well known so that's what it's usually put under.

do either of you live in the area or are you coming from out of town? i'm coming from Bristol, VA.

I live in Louisville, Kentucky, but my friend and I will be driving from the Nashville show the night before.

I live in Winston-Salem, NC...that's about 2 hours away.

I made an account just to say that I'll be there! Incredibly excited as it's my first Gaslight concert. Hope they play some songs of Handwritten... It's immense! I'm coming from Elon, about 30 minutes away.

This is actually my first time at Cat's Cradle, I hope parking isn't total nightmare like Frank Turner's concert was in West Columbia, SC. Oh and at the concert I'll be the kid wearing the Frank Turner shirt more than likely (Total fanboy ).

Nah, I'm not really a bar person and don't know shit about the local music scene. Pretty much just chase TGA and Bruce whenever they come within a few hours drive. I should probably try to get out to places like that and see what's out there.

oh, and one other thing, TGA's merch guy is a fucking pro. sold out crowd and a huge line at the merch table, and it took me maybe 8 minutes to get a t-shirt.

yeah, he said that they hadn't played it on this tour yet. it was still awesome....but ian messed up the very last little guitar run. nobody cared and everybody cheered their heads off anyway.

They soundchecked Boomboxes, especially the bridge/outro, 4-5 times in St. Louis. Guess they needed a few more times

Haha. During "Angry Johnny" in St. Louis Brian and Alex had this riff going simultaneously and Brian liked it, went over to Ian and was showing it to him like "hey, play this", Ian laughed and shook his head. It was pretty funny.
